So just yesterday, I got my braces removed. It's was somewhat of a relief, I guess, but it wasn't as cool as I thought it would be.
I mean, sure, it's a little bit more comfortable without such a troublesome metal contraption in your mouth, but I expected that. I suppose everything felt exactly as I expected, which made it no fun.
I went to school today and a bunch of people wanted to see me smile because TWO people noticed I didn't have braces.
When I did have braces, I didn't smile much. I smiled a lot at first because it hurt like hell if you didn't, but those smiles weren't happy smiles. I don't show a toothy grin when I'm happy. I kind of... idk, smirk.
With or without my braces, I don't show my teeth. Whoever asked me to smile today, I'm annoyed at you... in a I-hate-you-now-but-I'll-probably-forgive-you-shortly way.
Today was also my school's Spring Gala.
My school's potential is pretty low considering how little population we have. Even with that potential, we can't live up to it. Basically, we don't excel at anything particular.
I'm in the senior band, which doesn't say much because it's a band based on age rather than skill. Anyhow, the senior band performs at galas because it's one of the only performances my school can offer.
I had a stroke of bad luck, though. My flute decided to stop working earlier this week, so I had to borrow a flute for the gala.
I was able to have no time to practice with my temporary flute until the actual showcase, so I kind of... failed.
Well, I got the notes and I got the rhythm, but my tone was horrid.
The flute I normally play with, my sister's flute, is classified as a intermediate flute, so it's a step higher than the basic flutes my school lets students rent. My flute has an additional key on the end piece and several buttons have holes in them.
The flute I played with today we so completely different. I'm surprised I did as well as I did, but nonetheless, it is still unsatisfying.
After the gala, I packed my backpack. I had quite a bit of homework, as always. I felt the weight of my backpack the moment I attempted to wear it, but I bore through it.
At home, out of curiosity, I measured my backpack. Do you know how heavy it was? 29.2 pounds.
That beat my last heavy backpack record by nearly ten pounds. That's insane. No wonder I can't grow.
Well anyhow, I'm going to go now. I'm feeling rather down today.
Today's lyrics are:
I'll play along with this charade
That doesn't seem to be a reason to change
You know I feel so dirty when they start talking cute
I wanna tell her that I love her but the point is probably moot
I may have used this song already, but eh. Guess the song's title and artist and a reward shall be granted!
Until next time, my fellow readers.... if you guys exist.
And g'night if it's nighttime. yum_puddi

If you could just visit my journal, that would be so awesome! I update often. It's sometimes kind of personal, but you can't keep it all bottled up inside, you know?[/align:3ff528bdd4]
