Prologue
There, once in the rain, I spotted my red rose.

Chapter 1

I walked quickly to my father’s car before they could see me. You probably don’t know who I mean but, they are the ones I need to avoid. Their favorite thing to do is bring misery to others. Their names are; Natsu Dragoneel, Gray Blake, Erza Scarlet, and Lucy Heartfilia. I just happened to always be number one on their list too. So much for going unnoticed on this sunny day, but right before they could even walk over to me, Dad pulled up in front of me.
“Hey kid. How’s it hangin’?” he asked me. I rolled my eyes as I climbed in the car.
“Dad, didn’t I tell you to stop talking like you are in high school again?” I eyed him as we headed on the freeway. He only smiled and nodded my way as his favorite band started playing. I sighed and looked out the window out into the rain.
I was in my second year at this fancy new academy Dad had put me in since our move last year. It hasn’t been easy for us since mom died but we somehow managed. I was just starting to get used to life in my old high school though when all this had to happen. I had to leave my friends behind in Wisconsin and move to this super rainy town. It’s always green here and cold. I get picked on most at school for my appearance though. I’m short for the average guy height and I have spiky brown hair that is always sticking up. I’m also told I have girl eyes because of how long my eyelashes are and the way my dark raven colored eyes looked big and shiny like I’m always crying. Though I did manage to make one friend here at Knights High School Academy, Hibari Sunaiya. He helps me out a lot when others are picking on me and is very quiet and likes to be isolated from almost everyone. Besides me, of course. Only I have ever seen him smile. He is tall and is also on the Disciplinary committee. He has light green eyes and striking dark hair that is always waving on its own. He also carries a stick like a night club and threatens to bite anyone to death who dare comes near him.
