For the fight, I decided this morning when I woke up to do it in third person...since that's how I dreamt it last night sweatdrop
Leaping into the air to draw the copper dragon's gunfire away from her guardians and Shalimar, Dragon swung her swords in rapid circles to deflect the bullets that Lord Acrius was firing at her. Counting each ping! from a richocceting bullet, Dragon realized that Lord Acrius was carrying around six shooters.
"I never pictured you with six shooters," Dragon said as Lord Acrius dropped his ivory handled guns and whipped his hat off his head.
"Each to their own," Lord Acrius replied, whipping his hat towards Dragon like a frizbee.
Seeing the blade on the edge at the last moment, Dragon spun to the right. Feeling the hat trim her hair a couple of inches, Dragon switched the Dinos for the Louies. Flipping through the air, Dragon trusted Slinky to deflect the cowboy hat away as it spun back towards her.
"If we're going to fight, let's fight the real way," Dragon snarled; landing on her right leg with the left splayed out to the side and both hands on the ground. "Blue versus Copper."
"Indeed then," Lord Aricus growled.
Transforming into their respective dragon forms [+1], Dragon and Lord Acrius slowly rose into the air. Besides being larger than Dragon in both weight and length, Lord Acrius' coppery kind were known to be superb fighters and rarely lost. The only things that Dragon had going for her was that her ice attacks would negate the copper dragon's flame attacks and that she was a mother protecting her child.[+2]
There is an unspoken rule of dragons: Whenever one is about to fight a Copper dragon, it must be done in the way of an ancient ritual. Because Copper dragons rarely fought anyone, most dragons did not know of the ritual and lost right away. But Dragon had been tutored by Lord Avondale and knew of the unspoken rule.
Circling each other in the air, Dragon and Lord Aricus began the ritualistic dragon fight. They began with arial acrobatics to see who was more nimble in the air--although in his sunset years, Lord Acrius was just as nimble as Dragon. Switching to the sound battle, the two began to roar to see who had the longest roar--Dragon had plenty of experience in controlling the length of her roar because she would have to hold her breath under water so she had no problem matching Lord Acrius.
Finally, the true battle began.
Each dragon began with their breath weapons, Dragon with her Ice Shard attack and Lord Acrius with a solid pillar of flame. The two continued with the breath attacks while slowly circling each other. Suddenly breaking off, Dragon dived down and positioned herself below Lord Acrius. Spinning onto her back, Dragon reached up with her taloned claws and scratched twelve long gashes into Lord Acrius' soft underbelly. Roaring in pain, Lord Acrius rolled to the right to get away from Dragon.
Following him, Dragon summoned several level 87438 sized snow balls and pelted Lord Acrius with them. Firing short bursts of flame, Lord Acrius managed to deflect all but one snowball that smacked him in the face. Snarling, Lord Acrius shook snow out of his face and rushed Dragon.
Rushing Lord Acrius as well, Dragon sensed something behind her. Taking a moment to glance behind her, Dragon's heart swelled with pride as she saw her daughter and all seven guardians approaching in their true full forms [+3].
Turning her attention back to Lord Acrius, Dragon grinned. To the ones behind her, Dragon yelled, "On three! Your strongest attacks!"
"You won't defeat me," Lord Acrius growled, "even with the help of your little family."
"THREE!" Dragon yelled; releasing a blast of ice crystals. From behind her came a second jet of ice crystals and seven blasts of chii energy.
Howling, Lord Acrius folded in on himself as the nine attacks slammed into him. The howl turned into a draconic scream as a black hole opened within himself and he was pulled inside out. Snorting, Dragon landed and transformed into her human form. Having barely transformed back, eight bodies tackled her.
"Hey guys," Dragon said, hugging all of them at once. "I missed you. Where's Wynn?"
"I think she's still at Unka Twazu's," Shalimar said. Ikkit nodded.
"Let's go pick her up and have a moment to talk with Uncle Chazu, Auntie Koopa, and Unkle Skully," I said, picking everyone up. To myself, I thought, And talk to Rose...I hope she's still not mad at me after that night...
