"SHALIMAR!" I yelled, beating on the ice wall. "SHAL! DISPERSE THE SPELL! SHAL!"
I was proud of Shalimar for how strong the ice wall was--and I can break most ice walls--but also immensly fustrated at her for creating it in a way that fully enclosed her away from me. Creating an overly large ice mallet, I brought it up and swung it as hard as I could at Shalimar's ice wall. Smashing into the ice wall, both the wall and the mallet shattered into thousands of pieces and fell in a way that did not harm Shalimar.
Falling to my knees next to Shalimar I lifted her up and checked her pulse. A breath I did not know I was holding rushed out in a sigh of relief as I felt her pulse going strong. Gently pushing her red curly hair out of the way, I examined the mark on Shalimar's neck that Corrigan left when he bit her.
Worried about what the mark could mean, I quickly gathered my guardians, Wynn, and Shalimar onto the Nerissa Altsoba. After a partial attempt to locate Lord Avondale and Neiren, I took off for home.
I would use the computer on Nerissa Altsoba to find out what the mark was...but I would rather be at home in my basement when I found out. If the mark was what I thougt it was...
"First thing first is to get her home," I muttered to my self.
You'll never save her, Corrigan's voice whispered in the depths of my mind. Her fate is sealed.
"That's what you think you b*****d," I whispered. "I should've killed you when I had the chance. I will not let you do to her what you did to me."
Your attempts will be in vain.
"SHUT THE HELL UP AND GET OUT OF MY ******** HEAD!!" I shouted, leaping into slipstream. [+1]
