Well, last week certainly was eventful.
First, I finished my stained glass in my stained glass workshop, but the foil kept coming off, thus I had to keep refoiling it over and over again. Talk about a pain! Then, after I had lunch, I went to my photography class and when I was cutting up my negatives to put them into the sleeve, my left eye started burning! At first I thought that my contact lens had torn or I had gotten a piece of negative in my eye, but no, this was not the case. So, hoping to ease the pain, I ran down the stairs into the stained glass room I was in previously and put some saline solution into my eye, twice! Well, my eye still burned after that, and when I tried to take the contact lens out to see if that would help stop the burning in my eye, it just hurt worse!
So, I called my mom, who then called my dad to pick me up. When he came, he thought I was lying (I had called him earlier due to a headache which I easily cleared up by eating some yogurt) because Mom didn't tell him about the eye problem, and was about to take me along with him to do errands, but when I told him about my eye problem and he saw how red it was, he decided to put off his errands for the day and took me to Mom's office (she's an optometrist; how convienent!).
When we got there, she made me get my own file out of the filing room when my left I was still half-closed! sweatdrop The she took a look at my eye and told me I had chemical burn in it. At first I thought it was the flux, but I washed my hands after using that, and when Mom saw the horrible discoloration in my pants from the patina I used to change my solder from silver to copper, we came to the conclusion that that is what I had gotten into my eye, probably because I rubbed it afterwards or something like that.
So, the conclusion? I got copper sulphate in my eye. stressed
The next day, I went to my friend's sixteenth birthday party (which she informed me of on such short notice the day before), and I thought it started at 2:00 when it really started at 12:30, so I was late which made me miss cake and ice cream. Not only that, but because I had to use my last canvas for an end-of-the-year art project, I couldn't paint her that creepy picture of Sasuke that I had promised her (but she said she would accept it late; she's so sweet!), so as a card, I gave her one of my drawings from the SasuSaku doujinshi I had screentoned on the computer in my graphic arts class the week before with a hand-written note on the back. Because she didn't have anything for my birthday two months ago, she gave me my present late as well (which happened to be a drawing of Orochimaru heart ).
We then all went to the ice skating rink where I got used to being on the ice, but I still can't stop properly without stumbling first. However, I am going to be signed up for speed skating, which starts tomorrow. I'm so happy my parents agreed to it! heart
Well, that's all I have for now so, toodles!
