what an enchanting and lovely channel he has got
HIs character Irwin is a bumbling but warm gentleman.
He is educated and yet you can tell he is riddled with a number of personal setbacks
each more endearing and odd and yet sweetly funny than the next.
So his story is set out from the first that he has discovered Pixies living in the forests of the United Kingdom. He travels to various parts (next he is going to Wales which i am excited to see because that is my ancestral home and it has been years since I've been)
So he travels on foot. poking about, looking for clues. At times he finds something of interest which he shares in detail within the Pixies life - an arrow or spear, a little basket of woven materials and sticks, a little bridge are some of the things he has encountered and every so often we are treated with a visual capture of a few seconds to a few minutes of one of the several Pixie species that are out there. One day whilst encroaching on a cave suspected to have been used by Pixies he even happened upon a wurm to which he beat a hasty retreat as we are told they can be quite dangerous. These Pixies look amazing, anyone who loves the world of fantasy and unicorns and faeries and elves will be in heaven watching these videos. With each video Irwin takes us into his world of the fantastic with his charming bumbling mannerisms.
My favorite video is the one in which he is stealthily attacked by one of the Pixies he is tracking. As he talks to us he feels a sharp pain in the back of his neck. He reaches back to rub the area and finds a tiny spear, he is surprised but tries to laugh it off for the camera when he begins to feel a little off. He is soon quite dizzy and needs to sit. At this point the most important thing in the world, the thing he must accomplish as it is of the utmost importance is to find his scissors and begin to cut leaves into various geometric shapes. Which he manages to do for several minutes, then he runs his fingers through his rather long hair and comments on it's length and how soft it feels at which time he takes the scissors and cuts a sizable chunk from the front. Then he turns the scissors on to his beautiful full white beard and after making quite the dent in both he begins to laugh at himself and what a silly things he's just done.
How can you not love this channel?
