"What's going on?" Wynn demanded of the officers. "You let her go!"
One turned to her and replied, "Miss, I am not sure why you are here, but unless you reside in this domicile, we may have to remove you." His tone left no doubt that he doubted her right to be there, and was just asking for her to be tresspassing.
"Actually, I am a guest here." Wynn replied, and was going to continue, but she saw the officers pick up and drag Rose out of the parlor, unconcious. "What did you do to her?!" she yelled.
Another officer came up from behind the group, and addressed Wynn in a heavy southern accent.
"Miss, if yer a friend o hers, ye must know she ain't got any family left. And she ain't legal age for... her type. So she's bein' taken somewhere where her relatives can come get her and take care o' her." He nodded, as if this declaration should explain it all. It didn't.
"She doesn't have any relatives!" Wynn declared, explaining to both officers. "Dragon's the closest thing she has to a relative, and she wouldn't want you to take her anywhere! Especially not like that!" Wynn finished in a yell.
Three more officers surrounded Wynn and some of the gaurdians.
"Miss," the first officer tried to explain, "we aren't here to argue this. We just follow orders. In this case, court orders. If you have a problem, you'll need to speak to the judge. Until then, visiting hours are from 9am to 11am on Thursdays and 2:30 to 4:30 on Saturdays. You can talk to her then."
With that, the officers blocking Wynn and the gaurdians from moving dispersed. And Wynn could hear, through the open front door, a police car take off, it's sirens wailing.
"You better not have hurt her." Wynn said, under her breath. She was about to run after the car when a holographic image of ANTIE appeared before her.
"Rose is fine. I can monitor her life signs remotely through her ring. We can not take on the entire Gaian police division at this time." Her automated tone made it seem as though this might usually be possible. "I was unable to scan a complete copy of the document that they handed her. However, from what I was able to retrieve, we need to speak to Dragon as soon as possible. Otherwise, I am afraid none of us may ever see Rose again."
Wynn's eyes grew wide, and all the animals felt angry.
"Why?" Wynn asked, eyes narrowed as if forseeing a battle to come.
ANTIE shook her head. "I was programmed to secrecy on this matter, to protect Rose. Only Dragon has the authority to get further details on this matter. I have already alerted Nissa to the issue. She may be able to contact Dragon in time. Until then, I suggest you all remain secure in the bunker."
They agreed, since it seemed impossible to do otherwise for now.
