Paige stumbled on the rocky terrain, or maybe it was just the alcohol starting to kick in. The world around was so clear, and yet, she could not seem to move her body forward in a straight line.
"Are you okay?" she barely heard Xin's gentle voice over the the roaring winds. The unsecured metal roofing of the district border's housing rumbled in the background.
"I think so," Paige replied, partially to reassure herself. She swayed, having given up on resisting as gravity pull her towards the ground. Xin wraps an arm around her waist, holding her steady.
"How much farther are we going?" Celeste loudly lamented, aggressively shaking the bag in her hands. "I just wanna see some pretty colours!"
"Pretty colours!" Mateo echoed with a laugh.
Though he was far ahead of the others, Paige heard Harry audibly sigh. "We can go to the abandoned train cars. That should be far enough away from civilization."
