WOAH! WOAH! WOAH!
Talk about one of the best concerts ever! 0W0 heart
I'm going to skip over the fighting with my dad and being over an hour late.
But we got there. It was so laid back no one checked my bag or anything. I just paid the people at the door $22 for me and my sis and put a band around our wrist and let us in. No ins and outs was the only thing said. We were confused as hell. We knew that we were late and there were two rooms with stages going on at the same time. One was the big stage ((that Aiden played on! x3)) and the other was a room with a stage but it was still of good size but still small. We went to both stages, looking for Drop Dead, Gorgeous because we thought I had missed them. So we went out to merch and I started talking to the guy at running Drop Dead, Gorgeous merch. He asked if I need help, and I say no I was indecisive and he said it was okay because he was too and we both decided that we need decisive friends so we know what to do. We talked a bit more and he was sweet guy. And then guy at Folly's merch ((Folly was the real headling band)) said hi to me so I went over and started talking with him. He was really nice and has these beautiful blue eyes, I mean Beautiful Blue Eyes. I wanted to tell but I was too shy and I wanted to take a picture of him ((but I never did DDDx )). But we talked about the weather, how it was, Texas, the shows, touring, and etc. And he said he was really hot and sweating a lot. I said, "I really don't have anything to rub it off on...Just use a shirt! I won't tell anybody!" So he gets this sneaky look on his face and does shifty eyes to see if anyone is looking and then rubbs off the sweat in the shirt and folds it back up. And then he said, "sh!" I nodded and we both laughed. Someone called him so I left and saw one band who's name I can't remember or did I hear. They were pretty good, a lot of hardXcore dancing during everyone's set. And then there was another band on the smaller stage. Me and my sis watched them and they were alright. So we found something that said "9:30 or 9:00, I can't remeber, The Human Abstract, 10:00 Folly, and 10:45 Drop Dead, Gorgeous" Drop Dead, Gorgeous was originally at 10:00 but cross outs and arrows switched them. So we had time, more than enough. We went back out to merch, the guy with The Blue Eyes was gone but there was someone else in his place that I started talking with. I really can't remember what, it was pretty everything really. My sister came up and started talking with us. We then talked about Texas a lot because it was his first time here. So my sis told him all the good street in Austin with a lot of bars and whatnot. The sun went down and a breeze started which he was really enjoying. I told if it's just a bit stronger, that was want winter was. We laughed and I told he was experiencing all the seasons Texas had. He said he did understand how people could live here and how he guessed we just go use to it. He said he loved all the seasons. So we talked some more and then we left because the Human Abstract was going to start. So we went to see them. They came out stage. And WOW! They had energy like crazy. The guitarists and bassist were crazy and wild on stage as was the drummer. The lead singer when he would sing he would put his whole heart into everything. It was amazing to see him on the floor singing with all his soul. There was one guitarist he's name is AJ, he would just go in a stance and do the most amazing guitar skills on an AMP and then pull away quickly and start throwing the guitar around and still manage to play. It was crazy amazing! I don't remember their set list but I remember it was an amazing performance. At one part of the show, the bassist, his name is Kenny, looked at me and gave me this devious smile while he was performing, it was cute so I smiled back. And one time the lead singer looked straight at me when I was performing. No big deal, I know but give me my moment! x3 They were done after a couple of song 4 or more I think. Everyone started to pack up and since The Human Abstract is still a small band they were putting up their own equipment so AJ was right in front of me because there were no barriers and you could be right up against the stage. I wanted to say something, but words would come so finally I managed "You Did Great!" He said Thank You and smiled and continued to pack up. I said while he was packing you were really amazing. But I don't think he heard. So I went to my sis who was sitting at benches up at the top. We went outside to look at merch again. I told her that I thought one of the people from Drop Dead, Gorgeous was over there but I didn't want to be an a** and ask him if he wasn't. So we went back up to merch and the guy I thought was Danny from DDG was gone. We started talking with Folly's merch guy and the guy was trying to presuade me to pre-order the CD and I said I wanted to wait until I saw Folly. I did buy The Human Abstract Shirt for $10. Then my sis say if I didn't like Folly I would order it and they groaned and said, "you're gonna like Folly." We talked a little more with The Human Abstract merch guy and the bassist was behind him. And for the record ((all of the band members including The Human Abstract where way behind merch on the outside but they were all talking so I didn't want to interupt. The merch guy from THA snickered and said we were missing Folly. Oh we said and rushed over toward the stage my sis at the benches me at the front. And the lead singer of Folly was the guy with The Beautiful Blue Eyes needless to say I was stunned. The show was good but I kept feeling like I was missing my chance to talk with Danny from DDG and I didn't want this to be a big regret. So I went outside and there he was at merch. I waited for his sale to go through. And I asked what his name was he told me Danny ((Last Name I can't remember)). My face brightened up and I told him "I thought so! You're in Drop Dead, Gorgeous, right??" He nodded. I started talking with him about how tired he was ((because he looked like he was going to pass out)) and how he was going to do the show. He just kinda shrugged. And then, I asked he could sign the CD booklet. He said sure. And he did with my permanent marker. It was then when Kenny ((THA Bassist and back-up vocals)) said to him, "Look at you! Mister Rock Star!" I laughed and he handed it back to me with marker. I said, "AW! But I was going to ask you to sign my shirt!" Kenny said, "Really?!?" His face brightened up! I said yes! And pulled out my shirt and gave him my marker. He said, "Sure! I’d love to sign it! I'm going to sign it at the top!" and signed the shirts. He started talking with me and Danny about how long it took him to perfect signing a t-shirt because of how it moves and swears and etc. They talked about that while I listened. Then Kenny started telling me about how he had to sign 250 CDs and 250 posters. He said that the band went kinda crazy doing it and some of them would be all nice and cool looking with the autographs, and some they just messed around with and drew dinosaurs and characters on them. He said some fans will get cool ones and others will crazy wacked out ones and those will either be like Hey Cool! or WTF!?!? I started laughing. He said, "Try writing your name 500 times. You just go kinda crazy and are like 'What's my last name again!??!' You get tired of it." I don't know how we got on the subject of it but I said that some one tired to stage drive during Folly's set and didn't work out to well ((he land on someone)). Danny and Kenny thought I was talking about the lead singer of Folly. I said no just some kid. And Kenny started telling me about he almost took out Danny with his bass at a show. And then he told me about the time he was on stage and I think trying to crowd surfer or something and he ended up landing on some girl who was tiny like 5'3 and 90 lbs. He said she was okay and that they both just laughed about it afterwards. Then he told me about how he broke a guy's arm at one their shows when he was swinging the bass. He felt terrible but the fan wasn't bitter. He was really happy that he didn't get sewed too. He had so much to tell and I just loved to listen.
GAH! This is getting long so I’m going to speed it up.
Kenny told me that he designed the shirt and hoodie and that it took him ******** forever. I need to get a pic of the shirt. It’s amazing design, and there is so much detail. Anyway, skip over a lot. Kenny decided that everyone in The Human Abstract needs to sign my shirt so whenever he saw one and he would yell at them to come over to us. He would say, “Sign this girl’s shirt! She’s awesome!” The first one he saw and yelled at was Nathan, lead singer. So he signed it gladly. He asked me my name and I told him, he introduced himself. He gave me a band flyer, and we started talking, about nothing really. He said he liked my name. I actually mention what my name would have been and that’s what happens when your born after The Little Mermaid comes out and have 2 older sisters. He laughed, but I said either name I wouldn't mind. and we talked a bit more. He then mention THA’s CD that I could pre-order for $7 dollars. And I said no, I can’t. I like Folly. And he said well, I don’t want to pressure you or anything. I kinda said something mockingly about how he was only in the band and there peer pressure. So finally, I told, “FINE! I’ll give into peer pressure!” And pulled out a 10. Kenny was talking with someone and Nathan yelled at him. “Hey! She’s trying to pre-order CD and you’re ignoring her!” he said. Kenny: Hey! I was talking with her a lot! We’re buddies! We were talking a lot! We were… He stopped and then we both said at the same time “Bonding!” So they made me write down my name, phone, address, and email as I did I made sure everything was readable with them. And then, he was like yeah it is. Some of these people we’re definitely gonna have to call! And I said that’s the why they did it. So they get a call from you! They laughed. And Nathan said my email was romantic and said if we die we die together and looked at Kenny. So I gave them the 10 and Kenny started pulling out three. Me: No! Keep it! Kenny: what?! Me: Keep it! Kenny: No, take it! Me: No, you need it for gas and stuff. Kenny: Aw! Thank you! He kinda gave the money a kiss and looked at me and put it up. Kenny: You are saintly! You are saint! A Saint, Claire! =D Me: No, not really >.> Kenny gave me a poster which was like a reciept and then a free sticker and they both thanked me. And we talked a bit more. Kenny got called and Nathan said he was going to run around the venue and maybe he would talk with me again. So I took off to Drop Dead, Gorgeous that was about to start. Danny who I had talked did a perfect job on vocals. Honestly, I didn’t know how he was gonna do it. He was DEAD TIRED! But everyone in DD,G did great. It was an amazing show so much energy. So I went back out. And to Kenny who was now helping DD,G by marking down everything they sold. And there was a guy next to him that was selling it. I came up and Kenny said, "Hey, Claire!" I was asked what he was doing he told me. Kenny: Yeah, I am a up and coming business man! Me: Yeah! business man by day, rock star by time. Kenny: Yes! Well, I'm not really a rock star just a rocker. Me: AW! You're a rock star! Kenny: No, now I am a rock star! Yeah, I'm TOO Busy to talk with you! *pretends like he is leaving* Me: Well, now you are just an a*****e Rock Star! We laughed. Kenny: Yeah, that just being a d**k. Me: Well, I didn't say it. You did! Kenny: You were thinking it! Me: There's no proof! ninja We laughed again. Then he talked about how many shirts DD,G was selling and how crazy it was. Then, I said that he made me feel guilty because I was going to buy one. Kenny: No! No! They are great band and have great shirts! Get one. Me: Which one, then? The guy standing next to him pointed to one and said that one. Kenny agreed and was actually sporting the same shirt. The other guy gave me the smallest one. Kenny then saw Brett, the drummer of THA, and he yelled at him to come sign it. Kenny: Sign Claire's shirt! She's awesome! She bought a shirt AND pre-order the CD! Brett: Really? Thank you! He signed the shirt saying "I LOVE YOU!!!!" and then his name. We talked a bit as he introduced himself. and then he left for while. Kenny and I were still talking when he saw AJ, the guitarist of THA, and he yelled at him to comeover and said the same thing to him. But AJ said, "Yeah, I remember here we were talking onstage!" and signed cheerfully with "XOXOXO" after his name. I couldn't believe he remember that it was but three words but he remembered. He introduced himself. We all talked for bit and AJ took off. Kenny then compliement my style and said he really liked it. Me: Aw thank you! You're the 3 person ever! Kenny: I really do like it! The guy who was next to him, compliemented my bandana I had around my arm. He said he really liked it. I told he could have it. He was shocked and said no! You really don't have to give it to me! I said it was alright and took it off and gave it to him. He said thank you! I'll wear all the time. And he began to fold it and started to put it around his leg and then brought it up. I told that I was sorry it wasn't working with him. He told me no, he was just particular about the folding and then re-folded it and put it on. Kenny said Look at her! You are so giving. Me: No. not really. >.> Kenny and him started talking about how that was so much better than his red one and how they liked that one so much more. He told me again thank you and he would wear it all the time! Then one of the guys from DD,G came over and proclaimed, "I AM SO DRUNK!" and then giggled. But someone important like a representive of the label or something was there and he was only 20. So he took it back and said he was joking and said that he was just ancy. He then talked to me and Kenny about how he got arrested earlier for having weed. He left as the representive or something was questioning him about being drunk and he said again that it was a joke, he was just ancy to turn 21 in a couple days. Kenny looked at my shirt and see who was missing it was Dean, the other guitarist, with crazy cornrows he said. He finally came out and Kenny yelled at him to come over and told him the same as the others. He asked what my name was and I told him and he wrote "I LOVE U MORE CLAIRE" and signed his name. x3 My sis came over. And we started talking. Kenny had to start packing up so he came around and I said I wanted a pic with him. He said he'd love to! x3 I gave my sis the camera So he came up next to me. Kenny: Man, I'm big ((meaning tall)) Me: It's okay! I'll come up! *went on my tippy toes* Kenny: All crouch down! So we both in a really awkard positions snuggling and smiling waiting to take the pic ((my sis said aw how cute!)) and waiting and waiting. We started to get a little shakey. we asked what was taking so long!?!? gonk My sis said she was waiting for the flash. She finally took the pic. And We both went phew! And we started talking about how that was one of those positions you CAN NOT hold and the camera always has to mess up! Dx So Kenny: You know, Claire, you are really becoming one of my favorite people! I have a list. And you just keep climbing it! *doescutelittlestairmovement* And my sis snaps a picture of that. He just kinda looked stunned. And she said sorry but she had too. I giggled. Kenny: You are really one of my favorite people! biggrin Me: AW! You are one of my favorite people! ^W^ Kenny: Next time, we come into town just find me or come up to me and be like KENNY! *doesarmsout* and I'll be like CLAIRE! And it'll be electrical! There will just be electricity! So much electircity! x3 Me: Okay! I will! ^W^ Kenny: Alright next time! Me: Can I get a hug? Kenny: SURE! I Love Hugs! He gave me a long and tight hug! Kenny: Next time! Find me! Me: Okay! I will! And he left. So I started talking with Dean again and then I asked for a pic with him too. We both reached over the counter and took the picture. We talked some more, he showed me his cool lighter that he kinda took when someone left it behind. Dean got busy so I started getting autographs and taking pics from DD,G and one of them had to borrow my permanent marker again. I was really prepared, a lot of people borrowed pens and permanent markers luckly I got them all back. Aaron, keyboard and vocalist, introduced himself and we talked for a bit. But I started talking with I can't remember his name and I really don't want to say the wrong person but I'm pretty sure it was Kyle, guitar and vocals for DD,G, well he was the one that told everyone he was drunk. And he started to talk with me a lot. He told me how he was upset that he said he was drunk in front of that women. I told him I was there and he was like oh yeah I remember it. Sorry, I'm drunk. I mean out of it. I'm ancy! Ancy that's all! Me: Yeah, you are just ancy that's all! not drunk ancy! He yelled to Aaron, "I AM JUST ANCY I SWEAR!" We laughed, Aaron looked at him like he was dork. Anyway I got Kyle to jump into one of Aaron's pictures because he always did that to Kyle. We talked some more. And then, he had to go. My sis had made good friends with Nathan the vocalist of THA so she was talking with him the whole time. And then, Brett of THA came up to and started talking with him. He had some new kind of phone. I don't remember what kind but he said you need it when you go touring. It was your life. And he said, "You know you want one! >3" We talked some more. He wasn't tired at all. And he said he rested a lot so he never really is tired. Brett: I'm really hungry. Me: there's pizza around. Brett: I've had enough pizza tonight. >.< Me: well, there is machines but I don't have any money. Brett: I can't take your money! x.x Me: Well, there is the parrot *points* but I would have to stop you. vegetarain. We started talking about how he ate healthly and I didn't. He was puzzled and asked why did I do it then. For the animals I answered. I told him I wasn't one of those crazy guilters or converters if that made him feel better. He said yeah and then said he loved animals but they taste good. I laughed and said it was alright. But he said he only ate it everyonce in while. We talked some more and said that he better start packing up. And that we could aim each other. he was shocked when I told him I didn't have one. we decided on myspace to talk and then maybe I would get aim. I told him I wanted a pic with but I didn't want to interupt my sis and Nathan talking with people. Brett: It's okay! I will! ^w^ *goes up to my sis* GIVE ME YOUR CAMERA! D< Sis: *pretends to be held up* Here it is! Brett: We want to take a picture but she didn't want to interupt so I did! :3 Sis: Well, I'll take it. We took the picture and he gave me a hug and said see you later! ^w^ My sis took a picture of me with Nathan and I took a picture of them together. I was with Aaron has these girls were telling him about the tat sleeves they were going to get and how they were going to be cute and s**t. Those girls were cute as bunnies but they were really stereotype of preppy. Aaron didn't look the slightest interested but pretend to be. Kyle was making his own "tattoos" on peoples arms and he wrote so big that instead of more he used the greater than symbol! xP I thought it was funny but no one else did and then Kyle started coloring in Aaron's tats. People started leaving and Kyle gave me a hug and left.
AH! I need to speed this up more.
Someone came up to me, he said his name was Dougy. I told him my name and then he said he would wear the banada always! Then, I remembered and told him I was glad and that I like his name, Dougy! Then I giggled. He said he liked mine. Then we talked some more and Kenny came by fast and patted my head really quick but he had to keep going. Dougy got caught up and then before I knew it Folly's lead singer went by. He was carrying a lot of s**t so there was no way I could get a pic. Then, I started talking with THA's guitar tech who was really friendly and felt like his job wasn't important. I told him no and that they wouldn't be a show without him. And then, he need to know what time gas stations and bars stopped selling beer so I told him to ask my sis. which he did and got the answers and thanked us both. Then, Danny from DD,G had been on the bench the whole time on his phone and when he finally got off. I asked for a pic with and him and I think it was Jake. So we took a pic Aaron jumped in last minute. And he jumped into to quick and tripped and fell and hit my chin, not hard at all. But he felt bad and asked if I was okay, I said I was fine and asked about him. I said after that that he got in the pic and that's all that mattered! ^W^
And then venue people kicked us out it was 12 something and we had been there since 7something so we understood. We said bye to everyone and left.
