The two were under the swirling waves for ten seconds, when Capt. Deep burst through the water, with Will still hanging onto her. He was under, and Capt. Deep pulled him up, so he could breathe. “Will, let’s go!” Capt. Deep said, but looking down, she saw that Will was only half conscious.
She slung him on her back, and wrapped his arms around her shoulders. She swam towards the ship, and the life ring. She grabbed the ring, and wrapped Will’s arms around it. She held on to Will and the ring as they were pulled up. They were tossed on the deck, and Will was starting to regain consciousness.
Capt. Deep looked down at Will and smiled. “Will, are you alright?”
Will coughed. “I think so… What happened?”
“My plan worked, but you got wet in the process. I hope you don’t mind.” Capt. Deep said.
“No, I’ll just need to change so I won’t be so uncomfortable.” Will said. “Do you remember where I packed my clothes?”
