Before she could wake anyone up, she knew she would have to attack the other ship, hope that would be enough to get her crew on deck and load more guns. She lit the fuse on one of the guns, and it flew into the sail, catching it on fire. She moved over to her next cannon and lit it. In a matter of seconds the cannonball had broken a hole in the deck. Before the last cannon could be fired however, the rest of the crew was hoisting anchor, preparing for battle, and loading the guns. But when Capt. Deep saw that the commodore wasn’t returning fire, she commanded they stop firing.
“What are you doing?” Dojer asked.
“I don’t think he wants to fight.” Capt. Deep said. “There’s no fun in sinking his ship if he doesn’t fight back.”
“So what are we supposed to do?” Dojer asked.
“I’m going to go see what he wants.” Capt. Deep smiled, and she dove into the water.
