Capt. Deep swam back to her ship to inform her crew of what was to be going on. The crew gasped when they heard the news. “What if he tries to harm you?” Jean – one of her crewmates- asked.
“That’s why I’m bringing me swords.” Capt. Deep replied.
“Will won’t like this one bit.” Charlie said.
“I know, but maybe I can settle things between his father and him.” Capt. Deep said.
“What if you only make things worse?” Dojer said.
Capt. Deep paused. “Well, it’s not as though I could stay here now, I’ve already made an agreement with him that I’d stay with him until morning.”
“Well, maybe one of us could go with you and watch out for you.” A crewmate named Jennie asked.
“I don’t know if I can do that, one of you swim over and ask yourself, I have to go and tell Will what’s going on.” Capt. Deep said.
Capt. Deep headed towards the stairs leading down into her room, but Dojer came up and stopped her. “What on earth are you going to tell him for? He’s just going to get worried! Trust, me it’ll be better if you don’t tell him. He slept through the entire fight, so he’ll know when he wakes up.”
Capt. Deep looked down the stairs and wanted to tell him, but she knew her crewmate was right. He would never allow it if she told him she was spending a night on his father’s ship.
“Promise me that you will tell him that I’m going to be okay.” Capt. Deep said.
“I wouldn’t tell him anything less captain, you know that!” Dojer smiled, and Capt. Deep prepared to leave.
