On the demise of GR/Open Letter to Subbie
If you've discovered like me that GR no longer exists (imagine trying to do a show, and you can't because the server's permanently down), and you're dealing with the anger of the last PM from certain GR admins (no names around here), I'm sure you'll understand why I'm pissed.

Let's give a lesson in working a non-profit.

First off, you're NOT going to get rich. You will have to pull money out of your own pocket. I'm poor, and all of my money goes to paying bills. That's why I'm not running it.

Secondly, look into REPUTABLE server services. That way, the server doesn't go down. It's worth the additional cost. Balance out the costs of servers with advertising and various other methods.

Thirdly, PAY YOUR BILLS. And grow up, grow some balls, and face that if you're an admin, you and you alone are responsible for whatever it is you're running. If a co-owner drops out, YOU are responsible, not they, no matter what you think. After all, there is a thing called life. Bills are a part of life. GR is not the end all of where money has to go. It was your idea, and your baby. The co-owners, from what I saw, were not given enough shared responsibility. What I did see was you sponging off their hard-earned money so you could run your pet project. If you cannot see why sponging off of them is wrong, think of it this way: would you like it if a "friend" sponges off of you for a few months without some form of payback promised? Your answer to this is probably not, and I don't blame you. Learn to put yourself in the other person's shoes, and don't be a selfish douchebag. Additionally, if you're going to continue leaving your patrons and volunteers in the dark, I think I'd rather not work further with you. Don't brag about being able to keep it going, then whine when a co-owner drops out. It SERVES YOU RIGHT.

Fourthly, no one likes an attention whore. There were reasons you dropped nearly all of the first generation DJs. You're very much there yourself. Fame is fleeting. It's why I will go back to my normal life without too many qualms. How simple is that?

Very.

There.

All over.

I mean no harm by this, but I'm calling this to your attention, because if I don't, no one else will.

Oh yes, this is a JOURNAL entry. If this is reported, everybody's going down, because, last I checked, this ain't a forum. And a legal place for me to rant about GR.

Don't get in my way, people.

Isn't worth it.
