She stood overlooking the edge of the cliff, her bare feet edged slightly away from it's dropoff. She was breathing and meditating a moment, she could'nt get to sleep. She felt a slight vibration a few feet away from her. "What are you still doing up, Aang?" She asked, continuing to practice her motions.
He said nothing. He walked towards her, his steps slightly more heavy than normal, as if it was something he were forcing himself to do, trying not to lose nerve. "What is it already, twinkletoes?" He stopped next to her. She recognized his heart was beating slightly too fast, and small drops of sweat were falling to the ground.
"Give me an ans--" She stopped halfway through. His lips were smashed against hers. She widened her eyes in surprise out of instinct, not like it did anything. It felt strange, in a good sort of way. If anybody had asked her what she would have done in this situation, she thought she would've threw a rock in his stomach and shouted "The hell d'you think you're doing, twinkle toes!?"
But she did not, she simply remained rooted to the spot, and slowly, she kissed him back. He backed off for a second to catch his breath. "T-Toph, listen, I, I- Uh..." Aang started, tripping over the words.
She rolled her useless eyes. "Talk entirely too much, twinkletoes." She smiled. "Why don't you come back to my tent?"

Don't do insomnia, kids, it makes you write bad, bad, incredibly bad fanfiction. Characters (C), ah hell, I forget who writes the damn thing, and don't make me say the network, I'll just die if I wrote fanfiction for that network. I'll have a heart-attack. And then my stomach will collapse. And then my entire nervous system will fry itself. Just don't ask what the network is, okay?
