This is a poem that i wrote for my grandma before she went into surgery.

I want to breakaway
I want to be free
Of these chains that are holding me

All my life I've been trapped
In a destiny that isn't for me.
Chained to a fate that I hate.

When I see their smiling faces
These bonds of fate disappear
And for a few hours I fly.

Their smiles are my light
In a world of darkness
They guide me through my pain

One day the bonds will break
And I'll fly to a world of happiness
