Opening my eyes, I looked about. I was not sure how long I was out except that there were three gwees draped over Wynn and I.
"Any idea what happened?" Wynn asked, also having just woken up.
"No," I replied. "Nerissa, what day is it?"
"October 15," Nerissa replied, her hologram form appearing beside us. "The two of you have been out for some time now. I am glad you're awake."
"October 15?" I said, looking at Wynn and grinning. "It's almost time for Halloween!"
"We need costumes," Wynn replied, also smiling. "I know what we can do! Stay here!"
Before I could ask, Wynn bounded off. Looking about, I saw Nogard and Xangord sleeping back to back with restrainment bands wrapped around them. Mom's guardians were still working on repairing the house--although where Moochi and Bubba were, I had no idea. Just like I had no idea where the gwees or the Orly had come from.
A few minutes later, Wynn came back--with tu-tone hair--with her arms filled with packages. Throwing some of the packages at me, Wynn quickly changed. Looking at the items she threw at me, I laughed and changed as well.
"This is going to be fun!" I said.
