Tei's light feet made barely any noise against the small cobblestones in the courtyard. Her loose night-gown flowed about her, her small legs pumping as she headed for the Castle gates. Her short red curls flew behind her, bouncing softly as she jumped over loose cobbles and sleeping goats and cats. Tears streaked down her small cheeks, running backwards as the wind pushed against her face. Her hand stretched for the Gate crank as she hurried to open the large cast-iron barrier. A soft -thunk- sounded in her ears, the sound reached her before the searing pain in her back. Her legs stopped working, though he mind screamed at them to move. She felt her body fal, but her mind seemed to remain stationary. She watched, horrified as she fell, seemingly in slow motion, her small body hitting the ground with a soft thud. Tears still lined her face, her night gown was bloodied and wet. A large silver arrow stuck out of her spine.

Her eyes opened, sharp pinches of pain made her scream as she looked terrified at the un-familiar surroundings. It wasn't until a few minutes later that she realised she still couldn't move. Though now she couldn't even move her head. She was paralysed from the neck down. The sharp pain was coming from her back and she flinched every time the spasm racked her small body.

Hush hush, my darling Princess. You need not be afraid of me. I am helping you.

If Tei had been able to run, she would have. She felt another terrible pain in her back, though this time it was not followed by another. Another voice from behind her echoed in the dank dungeon-like room.

Massster, she isss healed. Though ss-she will not be able to walk for a few more hoursss.

A shiver ran down Tei's spine, making it hurt even more...
