Updates + Want to buy Prints?
Ok. So you know how they say it gets warmer as the day goes on? Well...I proved that theory waaaaaaay wrong today. Called the weather number this morning, at 8:32..it was 5F. [Note, that's 5 above farenheit.] Called about an hour ago, at 4:09pm...it was -2F. [Note, that's 2 below farenheit.] So much for "warming up as the day goes on". sweatdrop Now I can't walk to the bank and deposit the two checks I got or get quarters for laundry. crying

Today started as a pretty good day. Woke up, had my shower, had time to spare so I surfed Gaia for a bit...Found out the devil's tail is worth over 7 million gold. -_- But...I'm going to quest for it anyway. I think. I just hope I can get that amount before it goes too much higher. sweatdrop *is a big dreamer* Oh well. At least I can say I've tried. ^^

One of my biggest goals, though, was to quit drinking Mountain Dew. At work they had me up to 4-5 Dews a day. Yeah. So, I quit drinking it about two weeks ago. Haven't had a Dew since. xD Though, the nurses don't believe me, since I'm not showing symptoms of severe caffeine withdrawal. They dared me to and I'm succeeding, and I'm rather happy about that. xD

Though, I've been rather irked with my bosses lately. They seem to have decided that I can do a run and a half AND keep caught up with stripping/waxing floors, shampooing/bonneting carpets, and dusting/changing curtains/bufffing floors. In their dreams! I've barely been able to clean my ROOMS for two weeks! Yesterday alone I did my entire run, plus 5 rooms and 4 centers from Aspen Way, THEN 4 rooms and 2 centers on Tamarack WHILE training the new girl, who I wasn't supposed to be training because I'm not a lead tech. I managed to get her run done fast enough we both made it to the "mandatory employee meeting" on time.
Except. The meeting was about SKIN CARE. How is that mandatory for our job? ITS NOT. They taught us how to use lotion and wash our hands in the best way to retain as much moisture as possible. Why? Because a few people complained their hands were cracking. I'm sorry, but how much common sense does it take to put lotion on when your hands are dry? NONE. So why waste an hour of my time when I was behind to begin with to teach me how to use lotion?
Yesterday they let Danielle leave early, leaving me the whole rest of her run for the day.
Today...they let Marty go home early and tell me I'll have an extra 6 rooms to do. So what do I do? Run a weekend run. Its the only way to physically complete everything.
So then what happens? The boss comes down to INSPECT MY ROOMS. What the heck? She says that since Marty rushed her rooms to finish for the day, she won't inspect her, but me, who has had to run a weekend run for TWO DANG WEEKS to keep everyone ELSE up to speed, she inspects. And she docked me on three things, destroying my inspection rates! Even after I said, "Look, we've been super short handed, I've been running a weekend run nonstop...and in the room you inspected the man is BLIND. He can't see when he hits things and makes spills. So why am I losing points for his spills since I cleaned his room?" Her excuse, "Well, its dry." I'd cleaned his room THREE HOURS before she got there to inspect!
I'm seriously thinking about contesting it tomorrow. I just didn't have time today to go and say anything. Which will probably make her think that I'm lying, but I don't care. I'm sick and tired of them screwing me over like this.
But, on the bright side, they're letting Cathy come back. EVEN though they wrongfully fired her to begin with. She had to have emergency surgery for a severe hernia she'd had for FIVE years. So she had her surgery and THEN they informed her that OOPS she wasn't eligible for ANY benefits or aid and so, was to be fired.
Yeah.

On another bright side - I've done some major updates to my DevArt account. I have something like 121 deviations - and around 20 more to upload eventually. I was really proud of myself for the work I've done in photography. Even though I still suck. sweatdrop

I'll let you have a watermarked online version, but not a hard copy print without the full payment.
The only pictures you cannot purchase are of the residents of Denali Center. Other than that...you can get whatever you'd like. ^^
