Padlock Chapter 2
The creature towered above her, white haired and beautiful, emotionless cobalt eyes refusing to compliment his elegance. 6 feet above her, he was extremely intimidating- if one had the ability to tear black stripes into his flour white skin-he would resemble the feared but rare- white tiger. His glare pierced the violet mirrors of the girl's eyes, sending shivers racing down her body. The deeper he looked into her, the more the girl began to numb. Soon she had forgotten that her slender lengthy limbs existed at all. "Do you seek death?" His voice was of the raspy cold-dark and captivating as it rumbled through his throat.
Amber was now pressed against the door, the wooden barrier keeping her from falling backwards. Dizziness set in-her surroundings spinning, There were dangers of keeping a vampire’s gaze-though she could not seem to pull away. This man was seeping deeper and father into her mind than even she had ever wanted to go. Through her very short, human years- Amber had always been attracted to creatures that were surrounded by shade and darkness. Mysteries always surrounded these creatures, she loved them-hoping desperately that they were real. Though one type of creature she favored more than anything- the same type that was now staring her down.
Many dangers came when confronting a vampric entity, just as now-they could paralyze you and seep into your thoughts- command your body and control you. Despite these facts- she wasn’t afraid. Fear was one thing that had never appealed to her. It sickened her to know that others were afraid of these mysterious beings.
Finally an answer came- Her voice clear and bravely outspoken, "I don't seek what I don't want." The tiger could see no fear in the girl-She was not blood bonded, nor did I seem that she had encountered his kind before. She was very strange, This type of human was rare. He probed deeper into her thoughts- he had seen her obsession with things of the dark, never expecting her to be fearless when confronting them. Only a moment later the beast released the girl’s mind, "you do not fear our kind? Very interesting"
The numbness left her- her mind free with it’s own barriers setting themselves back up. She could now move again.
