Ok so this morning I get to work at 8. Normally, I'd get there at 11 but since the guy that would usually show up at 7 transfered, and I was told my new hours were 8-5, I came in at 8. ANYWAY, my boss walked up to my sister in her department and asks if I had come in at 8 too. Well DUH! She can't drive because of medial reasons, so yeah, I was there too.
My sister was like, yes ma'am. And my boss goes "well did she get permission from her department head?" -_-
The dumb blanket y blank had forgotten she'd given us new shifts!
Sooo, my sister walks up to the main Assistant manager a few hours later and asks what the deal is with our scheduling being messed up. The boss was like, "oooh well we decided to not give you 8-5. You'll still be working 11-8 until we find you replacements." WTF!?
My sister had transfered in to a department and is taking over for the woman that works 7-4. I am sliding in to the slot of 8-5 replacing the guy that usually worked 7-4. Now, yes, my department is now short 1 person late night, but who gives a crap? When I first started there, I was by myself every day after 5pm while everyone else scampered home.
Now they're saying I can't ?
I've been working my butt off the last two days getting all the pallets off the floor, and trying my darnedest to get the department caught up before I leave.
I'm gonna have to fight to keep doing 8-5. My sister was like, lets tell them they have one month to get it fixed, but one month is WAY too long. I work in a department with 2 guys and 1 girl other then myself.
The girl will only work one section of the department (cheese), and one of the guys wanders around like he's lost the whole time he's there, (occasionally emptying the trash bin but big whoop), while the other one comes in now and again to work the egg section (well sometimes), other then that he stays out of the department as well.
That leaves me. I work the freight, keep the milk caught up, (and there's a lot to keep up), work the biscuit section, creamer section, butter section, juice section, egg section, zoning, refilling, wrapping and taking out empty milk crates. On Saturday's I have to down stack the milk order (and it's freaking HEAVY! >< wink .
I think I freaking deserve that 8-5 shift!
; ;
Ok, I'm going ; ; Chow wants me to watch Dresden Files with her.
Later!
