Okay, the title only makes actual sense to those who've seen a certain Jay and Silent Bob movie (also featuring Chris Rock); here we go. The story version of this (because it started out as a potential idea for a story) is at Tavern of the Muses if you want to read it. It's okay writing; kind of off the top of my head stuff, but it gets the idea started.
Anyway, the idea would be that God, enthralled by the human-made pinball machine, makes regular trips to play. Well, one day, some angels get fed up with not being God and decide to take him down. Therefore, they release some demons from Hell, who happen to have worked out, with Satan's help, a method for trapping God inside one of his beloved pinball machines. Unfortunately for them, the demons get out of control and begin to proliferate and advance on Heaven. Because God would damn the angels who started it to Hell, they're a little concerned about getting his help with the matter. So, because Hell has Satan and Heaven no longer has God, the angels manage to strike a bargain in which seven humans are each allowed to pick two fictional characters and one fictional ability and must, with these two, combat and seal demons (which only they can see). Besides the addition of these elements, their lives remain very much similar to what they were before.
Players can use any fictional character, as long as they can name the source. They may start in any location on Earth, but not beyond it. Each player also controls a demon's actions, and that demon may not interact with its player's character. And then the regular guidelines: no cybering, no excess profanity, no little nothing posts, good grammar (not perfect, but good), no flame wars, etc.

Carpe Diem Ad Muertum
Sieze the day, to the death. There is no potential that shall be passed by, there is no piece of glory to fall by the wayside, there is no soul to left unsaved by the brilliance of language. As writers, we are gods.
I've found in my years here on Earth that a spine is requisite if one is to stand for anything, especially on one's own two feet.
