The earth swarms with people who are not worth talking to.--Voltaire
Has anybody ever noticed how true this really is? It goes right along wtih the whole, "if you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all." If anybody payed attention to that, nobody would ever talk.
When you walk into a class room at school, most people look for their friends so they will have somebody to talk to. Other people will walk in and look for the people to avoid, and sit as faaaaaar away from them as possible. And then the third kind, my personal favorite, the people who walk into a room, find their friends and the people they hate, and plot their downfall with your friends.
But what happens when you walk into a room of people that you have no idea who anybody is? You just sit their, pretending to do something important until told other wise. People that know me would agree with me, as well as many others: If people don't look like they would make for a good conversation, then leave them alone.
This goes out to all you happyhappy-joyjoy people, if people look like they don't want to be talked to, don't. No matter how many times teachers/parents say, "just go talk to them, they're probably just waiting for you to open up to them," 95% of the time, this is not true. If we wanted to talk to you, then we would.
