sucky friday
hello everyone. well, yesterday was an okay day. kinda really warm. well anyway, so the night before i went up to a friends house and stayed there to watch there stupid brother because well, he was intoxicated. Like that is new. well, when we got there it was okay but i did not get to sleep tell late and even then i still woke up often all night long. I woke up to the sound of change hitting each other like someone was counting it you know. well, it was that stupid brother looking for money in his parents bedroom. (i stayed in the bedroom if you did not put that together already) Anyway, he was searching for cigarette money cause he had no more and was fitting. And guess what the first thing he says to me when i wake up was...."hey laura, do you have your ID on you?" thats when i knew he wanted me to go with him and buy the cigs for him. Not like it was illegal or anything he is 18 but he left his ID in a friends car. What a bummer. So, i went with him to the store. this was an opportunity for me to get some breakfast though, so it was all good. well, After that my friend and i tried to get a ride home cause we were on a hill and it was not safe to walk. also, it would take damn near all day. But, we could not get a hold of anyone who could give us a ride. A few hours later, we finally got a ride. when we got back home, we rested a bit then decided to go out and eat. I picked TACO BELL. YEAH! Well it turned out to be a bad idea. Why? Because when my friend and i got there and were ordering our food, this guy watched me take two drink cups for my friend and I. ( usually the cashier will get it. but i work there so i get free drinks when i want) So anyway, when i got the two drinks i touched the others a little with clean hands mind you. But no, this guy went off on me. he said, "Hey! Is your name laura?" and i replied, "Yes." then he continued saying, "well, you don't look clean enough to be handling those cups! When I'm going to be coming in and want a drink but you touched the other cups! That is her job! *points at cashier working* it is common courtesy! So don't touch them! let her get them for you!" the cashier spoke out and said, " but she is aloud to. she works here." The man then replied nicely to her, " Well. she is not on duty so she should not do it." I left the counter by that point. Leaving him to talk to her. I went and sat down. that really hurt. I'm not clean enough? hello! I was perfectly clean. I think that that guy was being racist. Why? because he was rude to me and called me not clean, when he was nice to everyone else. every one else was Caucasian and i am Native American/Hispanic/Caucasian but i mostly look like the Native American/Hispanic. but i was touched when my fellow co-workers supported me and the manager in charge talked to the guy. Telling him that he was being to rude to me, even tough he did not like what i did, he was still being rude to me. and after talking to the man a bit. (I'm not sure exactly what they were saying) anyway, after they talked a bit the manager in charge asked the guy to never come back when the people left. So yeah that was my sucky friday.
