It all happened faster than Nerissa could have anticipated. Nogard dragged Holly down the hall and Xangord was attacked by someone who appeared from a portal. A split second after Nogard had disappeared down the hall and Xangord and Xink disappeared into their own portal, Nissa finally reacted.

"Son of a--," Nissa growled, cursing her sudden bout of human slowness. Unable to do anything for Xangord for the time being, Nissa took off after Nogard and Holly. Taking a few shortcuts, she arrived at the landing dock seconds after Nogard had sealed the door. Although she knew that it was a hangar built specially to withstand a severe beating from grav worlders [+1], Nissa pounded on the door.

"Set her down," Nerissa said, using her hologram form to appear next to Nogard. "You are digging yourself a hole with your actions."

"Buzz off you glorified calculator," Nogard growled. Sweeping a free arm Nogard successfully destroyed all of Nerissa's visual sensors and any external sensors on Rose's ship.

As her avatar pounded on the door to the hangar, Nerissa's hologram form appeared next to it, "You know it won't work. Stop killing your batteries."

"If Nogard kills that girl, we all are dead," Nissa replied, turning to look at her hologram form. "Your looks have changed."

"Yours have too," the hologram replied. [+2]

Suddenly, a blue falcon swooped between the avatar and the hologram and merged through the door. A minute or two later, Kaida flew up to the hologram and android.

"Did you see a blue falcon come through here?" Kaida asked.

"It went through the door," Nerissa said from a display screen said. "What's going on?"

From the other side of the door, Nogard yelled, "Who the hell are you? Hey! Stop that! No! Let go! You BI--"

A large crash and the wall next to the hangar door bowed out.

"That hurt," the screen display Nerissa said as the hologram version flickered and faded out.

"What the hell is going on in there?!" Nissa demanded.

Suddenly, the point of a sword screeched through the sealed door and cut a hole out. When the chunk of door fell away, Nissa peered in to see a strange woman holding an unconscious Holly over one of her shoulders and an unconscious Nogard at her feet.

"Who are you and how did you get on this ship?" Nissa asked, following the woman. Noticing a severe limp, Nissa said, "You're hurt. You shouldn't--"

"Stop running that diagnostic on me," the woman said, turning to glare at Nissa. After a few seconds, she continued on to MedDeck. Grimacing, she lifted Nogard onto a table and strapped her down. Glancing at Nissa again but this time looking her over critcally, the woman punched an intercom button next to her and said, "Tikki, Ikkit. Meet me on the command deck."

In the lab where the two cats were, they looked at each other as similar looks of amazement crossed their faces. A split second later they scrambled to get to command deck before the strange woman did. [+3]
