A few weeks ago, those of you who are on my friendslist received a PM explaining what I did, my current circumstances, and that I'm back on. For those of you who aren't on my friendslist but still read this journal and don't know I'm back yet...well, you have some obliviousness issues. Anyway, I went to Fred Meyer yesterday and was in the music department with the handy little headphone-browser-thingamabobber. Recalling how Kairi.nin and Foxy.nin had made a huge deal about this one song called "Poison" a few months ago, I decided to look it up. Even from the little twenty-second preview, I was hooked. I found the cheapest Alice Cooper "Poison" CD there, begged my step-dad to buy it for me, and have been headbanging to it ever since. x3 The song inspired me to design two new Azantai and a new story/RP character (the stats and profiles of which I will post in another entry).
I've been having some anxiety about the new school year coming up, seeing as how it's a new school, more difficult classes, unfamiliar teachers, and way more extracurricular activities than last year -- but, on top of that, my parents are pressuring me into getting straight A's for all four years of High School so that I'll get multiple scholarships offered nationally from different colleges. gonk I know I could probably do it if I held tight to what little willpower I have, but the pressure is still (IMO) unfair. I just finished registering for Swim Team, which starts this Monday from 9 to 11 a.m, and then for the rest of the week it's from 11 to 1:00. The week after, it's gonna be an entire five days of 9 to 11 a.m. practices. When school starts, we'll have a bus picking us up at 3:45 from the high school and taking us to the pool for our practices, dropping us back off at the high school at (I think) around 6:45. Then, on the first Monday in September, Olympia Youth Chorus starts. For those of you who don't live in the Olympia area, OYC is an organized choir of kids ages 8 to 18. Only the kids with genuine talent and a voice worth hearing get in, so as you can imagine it was an incredible honor when Cynthia, the choir director, told me at my audition that I have one of the clearest, strongest and most projective Soprano voices she's heard in the choir.
And now I've overloaded myself with Art requests and stuff I need to get done, so I'm gonna be Insomnia-ing for the rest of the summer. rolleyes Not like that'll be any different from what I've been doing for the majority of my time out of school. Well, anyway, just thought I'd post a journal entry to let you all know I'm alive. <3
