The timely butterfiles They come every day They come when I know I'll see you They sit in the pit of my stomach Waiting They wait until I think of you They squirm, knowing you'll be there I see your face, your eyes The butterflies light with excitement Will you satisfy my want? With a gracious smile? Maybe your skin against my own The butterflies go crazy when you're there, beside me They never stop Not even when you've left Your image plays in my head, over and over again Like a broken record. The butterflies stir How they yearn for you I hear the bell The timely butterflies flurish I will see you once more. The butterflies race with anticipation. I await your smile Thats when the butterflies really fly I see you, and we chat The butterflies die a little because it's time for you to go I am lucky this time for you give me a hug, lifting me off the ground The timely butterflies are alive once more I dont want you to go, but those timely butterflies will forever remind me when you'll be there, beside me.
