Chapter Two: What is true evil? |

Tyson went back upstairs into his room, where he summoned Serionas, looking for some answers.
"Good lord!" Serionas exclaimed, looking at Ty's room. "What the hell happened in here?! It's... it's..."
Tyson sighed, then cut off his new friend, "...the room of any typical 17 year old boy who never bothers to clean up." Serionas shot Ty a dirty look, not impressed by his humor. "Well, now that we've established that my room is messy, tell me; what should I be on the look out for?"
"Ka is a crafty demon, but his evil Shiira has a major flaw. It's obvious. Anyone who manifests Ka's spirit has slight but noticeable physical changes."
"Such as?"
The angel snorted, not enjoying Tyson's company, then continued. "Their eye colour. It goes from it's natural tone to a sickly purple. Prolonged exposure to Ka's magic has other effects. Skin turns pale, hair colour lightens, and eventually the whites of the eyes turn solid black."
"Ick... doesn't sound very attractive. But at least it should be easy to spot. Almost everyone in Japan has black hair, so any lightening should be obvious."
Tyson figured there was no point of having magical powers and not using them, so he focused hard on the remote of his tv, trying to make it levitate.
"Hey Seri, how does this work?"
"Simple, there's two steps to using Shiira. Step one: Imagine your outcome, step two: guide it with your hands."
Ty focused hard on the remote, imagining it floating in the air, then lifted his hand, and the remote followed.
"Cool! I'm a mindfreak!" Tyson thought hard about what he had just said, "Do Kris Angels have a spirit too?"
This made Seri burst out in laughter. "Of course not. Can't you see the wire? Total fraud."
"Oh, you actually know who that is. *brief chuckle*. But how?"
"I've traveled to your world before, I know much of it's culture."
ding dong
Ty let out a disgruntled sigh. "Mom! Get the door!"
Seri glared at Ty, "You dare speak to your mother that way?!"
"Chill out dude, mom doesn't care."
"I assure you my rude little friend I am not a 'dude'."
"Bro... you have so much to learn about this world *more chuckling*."
Knock knock
A muffled voice came from the other side of the door.
"Tyson, are you in there?" the quiet voice said.
"Seri, hide! That's Dani!" Ty whispered loudly. "Uhh... yea, come in!" He said after his spirit returned to him.
The door opened, and Dani hurried in and shut it.
"Hi Ty! I just..." Daniela stopped talking, and her eyes grew wide. Ty looked around to see what the problem was, then noticed something...
"Oh yea, about the remote... uhh... I got this invisable wire, you know, like Kris Angel uses. I can't find the rest of it though, it blends in so well!" Ty let out an embarresed laugh, then lowered the remote, making it look like he untied it first.
Human, you truely are pathetic...
Dani took a few seconds to servey Ty's room, then sat down on the bed.
"Hey Tyson..." she started, sounding nervous. "Where did you put that pearl that we found tonight?"
Tyson, look at her eyes! She's working for Ka!! Serionas sounded certain, but Ty had to double check. He looked hard into Daniela's eyes and noticed the usual dark brown had been replaced with a cold purple.
You're right Seri, she is...
"Uhh, sorry, I didn't take it home..."
"Oh really now?" Dani said, however, the voice was not hers. As she spoke, a dark purple light fled from her mouth, wrapping itself around her. The light took the form of a large purple snake, with piecing yellow eyes, black stripes, and huge red spines on it's back.
"Listen human!" The creature spoke "I know you have the pearl! I know Serionas is in your body, and I'm not afraid to crack it open to find him!"
Seri, stay hidden. I have an idea
"Ok, ok, I give up. Here."
Ty began to shape a ball of his magic light until he had a perfectly round pearl. He then held it out to the creature. "Take him, just... just don't hurt me..."
The creature let out a sickening cackle that made Tyson cringe. "Yes! It is mine. Girl, grab it." Dani reached out and took the pearl, then the Ka dove at it and devoured it.
"I could just smash it open and claim all your powers, my dear brother, however this way, you will feel the pain of a thousand deaths within the next five minutes. After that time, your..." Before the snake could finish, Ty smirked and muttered, "Boom."
The false pearl exploded in Ka's stomach, causing the snake to scream out in pain and spit up blood. "Seri! Now!"
Serionas bursted out of Ty in a flash of white light and lunged at the beast with a sword of light. The blade sank through the head of the vile monster all the way down to the hilt. Ty let out a sigh of relief, "Phew that was easy."
Without a word Serionas stood and aimed his attention towards a dumbstruck Dani, who had no idea what had just happened. Serionas pointed the sword to her throat and prepared to lunge forth once more.
"Wait! What're you doing?!!"
"Until Ka's bond with this child is broken, Ka cannot die. I must dispose of her at once!"
Ka spat up alot more blood, then chuckled loudly.
"Boy, has Serionas told you anything about the spirit law of inheiritance?"
"Ka! You know that the Overlord prohibits spirits from using such powers!"
Ignoring his brother's words, Ka continued. "If a human kills the vessel of a spirit, that person becomes the new vessel. If a vessel kills their spirit, they gain all the powers that spirit had without the annoying company of said spirit..." the serpent paused, then glanced over at Danni. "However, if a spirit kills their vessel... they gain the ability to live in this world without a bond!" After he spoke these words Ka lunged at Dani and sank his massive teeth through her.
"NO!!!" Tyson screamed. He created a sword of light and charged at Ka, but Ka simply flicked him away with his tail. The demon's wounds healed instantly as Dani's blood dripped from his mouth.
It was too late now. Dani was dead, and Ka was unstoppable.
