Some things that happened this week that I find significant in my life:
Nurse’s send kids home way too easily
I had writer’s block for a week
I got over my writer’s block
I finally found someone who can get me a meeting with a publisher
I have this weird bump on the side of my neck and it’s making me panic
Well the first thing happened Friday and I had a stuffy nose so I went up to the sub in my Hist. class and asked for a nurse’s pass. “You want me to send you to the Nurse because of a small case of the sniffles,” the sub said incredulously. So after a bunch of convincing, he eventually just wrote that I ‘wasn’t feeling good.’ You would imagine the Nurse sent me back…instead she sent me home. “How are you feeling?” said the Nurse. “Not good,” I answered (I’m inwardly smirking because DUH) “Okay, well lay down and I’ll call you’re parents to pick you up.” And then my mom came and I was sent home.
Well when I got home I had tons of time so I just sat down and stared at my computer for a couple hours. Doing. Nothing. I was trying to write but I couldn’t. >.> The same day I forgave Travis (we got in quarrel about something I can’t remember) and then I was able to write =O I haven’t talked to Tavis for a week…and I haven’t been able to write for a week. And coincidently they’re on the same week. Yeah you can imagine Travis’ face when I told him…the smirking b*****d >.> Damn him for being right about me needing him….oh yeah that’s what the argument was about….Great –sigh- my best friend’s my muse.
This week I missed probably about 20 hours of class for my Peer Mediation training. My school is the first in the District to have the program. You know the one where they have “students helping students.’ Honestly I believe the program will fail but I like missing out in class. During this training however we were with the Same. People. All. Day. Yea being around the same 15 people all day will get on your nerves. But there were a couple of good kids in the bunch. And in some weird way we bonded (even with the instructor who was a great guy ;D He let us call him Barney –that’s his first name-) Anyways there was this one girl in the bunch, her name’s Beth. She’s a seventh grader and also a writer. She just…hasn’t really stayed onto one project so she tends not to have any books finished. But she’s reading my first book and then she’s going to refer it to her agent, who will hopefully help me too.
Finally there’s this bump on the side of my neck. It’s about the size of a pea. I know it’s not a bug bite because I can feel it under my skin. It’s starting make me panic a lot. I probably shouldn’t worry about it. Since I have no throat problems, just the fevers I’ve been having for the last two days and the cold that keeps reoccurring. It’s on the right side of my neck; it’s bugging the heck out of me. Travis read up on it…He says I might have cancer. Great, I got over my writer’s block and then my muse tells me I have cancer. Great.
