The girl was curled into a ball, her knees tucked tightly under her chin. She lay upon the soft grass; the stars were out and sparkling above her, their lights reflecting in her blank eyes. Her blond hair fell over her cheek as she rolled over. The full moon was glowing brightly, casting the jungle like garden aglow in its pearly light. The stars seemed to be singing as they twinkled though no sound could be heard. The soft rain laden clouds drifted across the moons grinning face, momentarily robbing the world of light.
The darkness caused Fen to stir; she turned her sorrowful face towards the clouds, her blank eyes begging for them to return the light. In the darkness Fen began to shudder, dreading what her mind could and would unleash without the moons warm gaze to guide it. To say the least she had had a day that would strike a nerve for a while…She had just escaped her tormenter a few hours ago, and of course Fen had run to the messy gardens at the back of the school. She took a shaky breath as She remembered what she’d had been trying to forget since retreating there…
