Yeah, I'm totally lazy. Now, I only write in my journal when somthing bizzare/awesome/funny happens to me. And my sixteenth birthday was all that and more. Many girls think of their sweet 16 as the landmark age. I think of it as the same thing. So, I ask my parents to drive me out-of-state to the best place for birthdays EVAH, which is Medeval Times. They said yes, and I bounce off the walls. But they said I could only invite one friend, so I chose my best buddy, as the folks on Gaia know her as, Two Dents Tusspot. So, since she lives in a different state than I do, we had to meet at Mideval times, and, miraculously, we get there at the same time. I discovered that Tusspot had died her hair blue (Big surprise). To all of you folks who have attended Medeval times, you know that it is anything but hokey. They go to far hights to make it as authentic as possible. I was knighted by their king, who pronounced my last name wrong (Big surprise). At that moment, I was probably the happiest teenager ever. But, it only got better. Tusspot, my brothers, and I got totally into it during the joust. We were bouncing out of out seats cheering for our favorite knight, while chowing down on chicken wings with out bare hands. Once again, the king pronounced my last name wrong (as many people do) while reading the list of people who were attending the joust for their birthdays. Even though I already knew the outcome of their Joust (I had been to Medeval times already), it was as if I had never been there. After the Joust was finished, Tusspot invited me over to her house, where we played many video games and watched videos from the summer camp we went to last year.
Yeah, I know, you're thinking "How can this get any better?" Simple, my friends. I had another celebration just yesterday with the people I couldn't drive out-of-state. We went to our local Mexican restaurant to celebrate. All of my friends could attend, and we all got together great. Although, throughout the party, even though I was having the time of my life, I was very paranoid. You see, another of my friends (On Gaia, he is known as Encon the Demigod), told me that he had been orchestrating the ultimate prank to pull on my birthday. Naturally, people usually associate the word "prank" with pain and hurt feelings, so I begged him to call it off. He said no, and insisted that I would love it. So, naturally, I was paranoid. Apparently, prank was not the right word. I guess his lack of knowledge of the english language made him not know of a better word. When we returned to my house, we played some Super Smash Bros. Melee and Dance Dance Revolution while Encon proceeded with his plot. My brothers, Encon, and some of my other friends locked themselves in my brother's room while we played our video games. All of a sudden, my Mom comes downstairs and tells me to turn off the lights and stop what we were doing. I knew that this would be it. But, since my mom loved me very much and was apparently supporting this plan, I let them do it.
We turn off the lights. All of a sudden, One Winged Angel statrts to play, and my brother, dressed in black clothing and a white wig, comes down the stairs with a big sword, along with Encon, who had another big sword. I immediately start laughing and singing along with the latin chorus, while yelling things like "You should have givin Sephy the Katana" and "Can I be Kefka? Can I be Kefka?" Encon and "Sephy" Started to swordfight in a very extravagent and convincing way. Right when the Chorus was coming to their big climactic "SEPHIROTH," my brother fell to the ground and we started beating on him with the swords. "Take that, Sephiroth!" we were yelling. It was hilarious, and one of my friends caught the whole thing on her Cell phone, although, since it was dark, we couldn't see it very well, but it was still very funny. My dad also took some pictures, which I really want to see. It was great, and I even got to keep the wig. It turns out that most of my friends, my brothers, and even my mom were in on this the whole time. She even picked up the white wig from Party City yesterday behind me back. My brother still has One-Winged Angel on his PSP. I can play it when I go out with my little "Project" that I have been planning for Encon's birthday....
I got some awesome gifts. My friends gave me some GREAT presents. I recieved 20 bucks, a new handbag, a 20$ gift card to Gamestop, and awesome porcelin turtle, a 50$ gift card to Borders, a check for 50$, and Princess Mononoke on DVD! My friends know me too well.... Maybe I should be scared. Instead I am lucky to have such awesome friends. On my actuall birthday, Tusspot also gave me a new Sketchpad and some new fine-tip pens. My parents gave me The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess for the Wii! (Now, I have to get a Wii....) My parents gave me a "We owe you" for a Nintendo Wii. Hopefully, I'll get it in time for the release of Fire Emblem: Goddess of Dawn.
In short, I am a very, very, very, VERY, lucky girl. I have a great life, a great outlook, and friends and family that love me very much. I know I say how much I love life a lot, but this shows me that Life loves me back.
Thanks God, you're a real pal.
