From the Holy Sonnets
Death, be not proud, though some have called thee Mighty and dreadful, for thou are not so; For those whom thou think'st thou dost overthrow Die not, poor death, nor yet canst thou kill me. From rest and sleep, which but thy pictures be, Much pleasure; then from thee much more must flow, And so must our best men with thee do go, Rest of their bones, and soul's delivery. Thou art slave to fate, chance, kings, and desperate men, And dost with poison, war, and sickness dwell, And poppy or charms can make us sleep as well And better than thy stroke; why swell'st thou then? One short sleep past, we wake eternally, And death shall be no more; Death, thou shalt die.

Friends stay forever...
What do I do? Adam is upset at me because of something he did. He keeps calling me immature when he's the one failing to see the big picture. Basically, he got back together with his ex-girlfriend and now is totally blowing me off. Three times he's done that this week and he denies it. Is it so wrong for me to be upset? He says I shouldn't take it out on Nicole by ignoring her. I don't talk to her. I never have. We're not friends! Why should I make a big point to try and talk to her now when I didn't before. Nothing has changed between me and her. So he can't even try to pull that one. So he tells me she comes first now, not me, and that she's fine with Adam and I still hanging out. Honestly, does he really need her permission to go out with other friends? She's not his mother. He says if he just tells her he's going to go out with other friends, that'd be blowing her off. No, it wouldn't be. It'd be living his life and being his own person. Then he maintains that he doesn't need her permission to go out with other friends, he'd just have to check with her to make sure it's okay. Isn't that the same thing?! scream I can't even start to talk to him without him calling me immature when his own actions are juvenile. I'm losing a best friend and it's because of his inability to reason and realize that while girlfriends may come and go, friends stay with you forever. I've been there when he's needed me...so where is he when I need him the most? crying
As if that whole ordeal isn't bad enough, someone I deeply care for told me he loves me, and has told me that most everyday...and then, he takes it back. Put yourself in my shoes...how would you feel? It's times like this when I miss my mother the most. I can't call her anymore and ask for her advice, or just rant and cry. And I hate that I'm depressed right now and the fact that I'll talk to anyone who'll listen at the moment...especially when I hate burdening others with my problems. I need help... gonk
