The three continued to walk down the path when it began to get dark. Amy sat down and yawned as she looked up to the sky. “Royse...Cloud.. We have to take a break for the night.” Royce nodded as he sat beside her and Cloud began to make a quick camp. Amy took the box out once more and gave each of them a piece of candy. “I’m not sure when they wear out, but just incase something tries to sneak up on us.” She smiled and laid down on her sleeping bag. Cloud fell straight to sleep as soon as he was done setting up camp. “Good night Amy,” Royce whispered. “Good night Royce,” she spoke back.

That morning Royce woke up and began to look around their camp site. As he was about to use the bathroom when he heard talking. He climbed a tree and looked around, “ The bandits” he spoke under his breath as he began to listen to the conversation. “ She left 500 years ago. How do we even know if the one that we found is her.”
“How many humans have white hair? She looks just like the picture.”
“She hasn’t used her powers once.”
“Calm down man. We are going back to the motherland with her. Her father will finally be pleased.” He smiled as the two walked away until Royce tried to inch a little further and a branch had snapped under his foot.
“Human!” one demon yelled and he ran to alert the others. Royce jumped down and ran back to the campsite and woke Amy and Cloud up.
“Man, we gotta go like now!” He yelled as Amy sat up and yawned. The five demons had run up to them and surrounded them. “Worthless human, trying to sneak up on my camp. Ill kill you where you stand.” He snarled and looked over to Amy. “We may just keep her alive.” He smiled as Cloud looked at him.
“I’m gonna tell you once,” Cloud spoke “, don’t you dare touch a young lady like that.”
The demon laughed and picked her up by her arm and Cloud’s eyes began to glow red and he punched the demon in the face. At that moment the other demons got pissed and started to charge for Cloud.
“Royce, ima need some back up.” He smiled and Royce looked at him as he began to fight the demons. One by one the demons went down as Cloud and Amy fought them and Royce looked at them.

When the three finished they looked at Royce and began to walk away. He lowered his head in disappointment and followed them. “Thank you Cloud.” Amy finally spoke and he yawned and nodded. He looked back to Royce who was still following the two at a distance.
“I shouldn’t have counted on him. The powers may not have even chosen him.” He looked up to the sky as he placed his hands behind his head.
“What do you mean?”
“Thats the problem with that demon candy. It picks and chooses.” Cloud said as he began to look through his bag, “you want an apple? I got plenty from your cousins house, they should be good for a few more days.” he smiled and handed a red apple to her.
“Sure. One day down, two to go.” She smiled and walked back to Royce, “I’m sorry that we acted like that Royce. I forgot how peaceful you are.” She smiled.
“Lets hurry up then. I don’t wanna run into those men again.” He shouted as he began to run.

Although they thought that no one was tracking them. A small bird about the size of a hummingbird followed close behind them. The small bird began to fly away until it got to a large group of bandits and turned into a phoenix.
“What happened to the others, why have they not reported back?”
“The others are dead,” it spoke, “A group of humans killed it with powers they acquired from the demon candy.”
“How were they able to get that? Where are they headed?” He said in a menacing tone.
“Apparently in two days you two will collide.”
“I’ll kill them then.” He said as the phenix returned to its small size and flew off.

“We are Ahead of schedule!” Amy smiled as she pointed to the map. As the clouds began to fill the sky and hide the sun. They sat down under a large tree and drank some water. “We might as well set up camp. Tomorrow I’ll be able to see Delta again.” She giggles as she thought of the young girl. “All this trouble for her. What kind of girl is your young sister?” Cloud asked as the three of them prepared their camp for the night that was far off from their traveling route. Because of the darkness, the small bird was unable to watch other the three so it flew back to camp.
When the three were finally at the town everything seemed so calm. They headed to a bed and breakfast and got all cleaned up. “Hot water!” Amy cheered as she changed into clean clothes and the boys nodded. Their peaceful moment was broken when they heard someone yelling “Run! Thats demons are headed this way!”
Amy ate another piece of candy as she picked up daggers from her backpack and they began to run outside. “Delta!” Royce yelled as the bandits ran into town. With them, as expected, was Delta. She looked weak and sad. When she opened her eyes she tried to scream out Royce but the three demons around her would not allow it. A female demon escorted her into a building as the other three men stood outside. The other demon were raiding the place setting fire.
“I’m going to get my sister!” Royce said as he began to run towards the demons. Although it seemed like they were already busy fighting a girl. To be exact, it was the girl that he had seen in the previous town holding vegetables.
“Whoa, she’s even beautiful fighting.” He smiled when Amy hit him.
“Stop making goo goo eyes over some stranger so that we are able to get Delta!” She yelled as he nodded and they began to charge for the demons.
“You three idiots! Don’t do that!” SHe yelled. At that moment the demon she was fighting punched her hard and she flew back into a wall. She continued to fight the demon until the leader came over.
“Worthless human. Stand down.” He smiled as he held his hand out and a huge gust of wind blew her into the building once more, making her go through it and he walked away. Royce ran to her aid and helped her hide from the demons. The demons began to set fire to the homes so that they killed all the people that had hidden inside.
“Find the human who decided to slay my men!” He yelled out, overlooking the fact that he was with Delta.
“Amy we have to hide. We can’t get Delta.” He sighed as they took shelter in a run down home.

When they came from hiding they looked around. Not many buildings were still standing. The demons were gone and so was Delta. “Royce! Where are you!” she yelled as the two looked around the rubble and began to cry. Royce stood over her as he protected the female from the rubble.
“Y-You idiot.” She murmured. He looked down to her as she started to open her eyes.
“I have to go save that girl. Get outta my way.” She sighed and he stood up. “I didn’t think that they would find her.” She sighed and tried to stand up.
“You have to rest.” Royce said as he stood up and picked her up, careful of her hurt leg.
“I don’t really have a choice in this situation.. Do I?” She sighed and he nodded.
“I’m Royce by the way. What is your name?”
“My name is Faith.” She said as she held onto him and he walked away from the rubble.
“Now earlier, why did you call us idiots?”
“You can’t just try and attack them head on. They found the princess and they do not intend of losing her. That would have been suicide.” She sighed and he looked down to her.
“How do you know that?”
“I have friends in low places.” She spoke softly.
“Amy! Cloud! Are you guys alright?!” Royce yelled out when he saw Cloud. Cloud walked to them as Amy and Cloud ran to meet him. Faith looked at the two then back to Royce. “Are you two also going to get the girl?” She asked in a soft tone.
“Do you mean Delta?” Amy replied and Faith nodded.
“Those demons just came in and kidnapped her a few days back. We are trying to get her but i guess we aren’t strong enough.” She sighed.
“She’s in danger. I have to save her from the demons.”
“What are you talking about?”
“They think she is the princess. Please Royce, put me down.”
He helped her to the ground and she tried to stand.
“I can’t fight them like this.... Please help me go home so that i may get the three of you gifts.” She smiled and held onto Royce as she tried to walk home. Cloud and Amy began to laugh under their breath at the current situation. Royce blushed heavily as he helped her to her home.
“You live alone?”
“Yea, i came from out of the country some years back, running away from home. Here you go boys, you two can have these rings. Ma’am, you can have this hair bow. When you are in trouble, trust in the power of it and you’ll be ok.” She smiled as she sat down. “Please rest. Today has wiped a lot of energy from me and i wish to join you guys.” She smiled------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
