OMG you wouldnt believe it. (long story)
So my mom sent us to our dad's with a webcam so she could see us throughout the school year. my dad got the software installed for it and we had to go throught this software registration [/] bullcrap. we got halfway throught it, and our PC just ******** shut down on us. what the hell... so we rebooted the PC and started over the registration, "maybe someone hit shut-down" seconds later, it happens again. so we go to the support website for the WebCam, and it says "don't follow through the registration, we're working on fixing a viral-error." so we install some virus scanner off the internet and we run it. shut down. shut down. SHUT DOWN!!! the thing wont even let us on the internet, but it's automatically downloading this bullshit off the internet.
so my stepmom knows a guy at the firestation she works at who can fix the virus. she takes it to him and he tells us, "It looks like the only way to fix it is by completely deleting every file on your PC". this was the good news. the bad news was that that meant she would have to delete all her college files, emails, and pics of the twins... doesn't this sound fun?! scream
so we finally get all her stuff saved onto some spare CD's and he works on it. everything was fine until about 2weeks ago. guess what... the virus came back and now we cant even turn the PC on...
