Yes, I speak of Peanut M&M's. I have now had three straight days without a pack. It's been a challenge. Snacktopia is organized with the processed snack rack by the door. The bins are made of a clear plastic and the M&M's bin is closest to the door. Upon entry the little yellow bags seize my attention, yet I persuade my feet to bypass the bins, and focus on the apple basket. With apple in hand I succeed, but if the basket is empty I will acquiesce to the demands of my vice. Perhaps I should bring my own health snack options. A careful self-examination may reveal that what I want is not the M&M's themselves, but rather some sublime quality of a full bag. For a full bag makes me happy, an empty bag — hollow.
