“Itachi?”
“Up here Sakura.”
She looked up and saw Itachi sitting in a tree.
“It’s late shouldn’t you be home in bed?”
“I couldn’t sleep…”
“Then come up…”
She jumped up into the tree and sat beside her brother.
“So what did you want to talk about?” He asked.
“I…didn’t…I just…”
“You’re bad at lying you know?”
“Yeah…”
“I don’t intend on talking to your children if that’s what you’re worried about.”
“No… that’s not why I came here tonight…”
“Then what?”
“I don’t know.”
“…”
“I guess I just wanted to see you…”
“You saw me earlier didn’t you?”
“That’s not what I meant!” She was angry now.
“Heheh… I know.”
“But I do have a question.”
“I don’t know where Sasuke is, I’m sorry Sakura.”
“Uhhh… I see.”
“Little sister go home.”
“Brother I…”
“Hehehe...”
“What’s so funny?”
“That’s the first time in ten years that you’ve called me ‘brother’.”
“Oh,…I guess it is, isn’t it?”
“Go on your little girl is going to wake up soon with a nightmare.”
“But how do you?”
“It’s a full moon you always had them on full moon nights.”
“Yeah I remember now…”
She jumped down and started back.
“Sakura…”
She stopped and turned around.
“Be careful… with what you say to that boy.”
He never looked at her. She turned and walked away.*don’t you think I’ve realized that, I know he is like Sasuke was, no he’s exactly how Sasuke was* She thought to her self. Just as Itachi said Ai had dream.
“Shhh…it’s ok now Ai mama is here.” She softly whispered to her child. All the while Seiji stood in the doorway watching with blank eyes. Sakura looked up at him he didn’t even move. He was lost in thought.
(Sakura is remembering this)
“Shhh…It’s alright my little cherry blossom.”
“Mama…”
*I cried a lot back then*
“Mama why is Sakura so special too you and not me?!” *Sasuke’s words cut deep into my heart that night.*
“You’re just as special too me as Sakura is…come here Sasuke-kun.”
He walked over and climbed in my bed with mom and me.
“Sasuke do you care about your sister?”
“Of course I do!”
“SASUKE!” *I threw my arms around him*
“Then do me a favor and always protect her. And Sakura always watch over Sasuke for me.”
“Right…”
(End of memory)
“Seiji come here…”
“Oh…”he walked over and sat on the bed.
“Seiji do you care about your sister?”
“What?”
“Do you care about her enough that you’d give your life to protect her?”
Ai looked up at him tears in her eyes.
“Of course I do, I’d give my life if it could save Ai’s!”
“Then both of you make me a promise that you’ll protect each other and watch over one another!” She was practically yelling.
“I will, mom I will!” Seiji said.
“Me too I’ll watch over Seiji!”
“That’s good!” She smiled that big smile of hers. “And don’t ever go back on your word!”
“We won’t!” They smiled back.
Seiji’s eye burned with passion, just as Sasuke’s had when he made the exact same promise.
“Do you feel better now Ai?” Seiji asked.
“Yeah I do!”
“Then both of you try to get some sleep. I won’t yell at you if you don’t because it’s my fault that you’re hyper now.”
“We’ll try!”

Sakura left the two in Ai’s room and went to her room. She tried to be quiet and not wake Neji but of course that was impossible.
“Where were you?” He asked.
“I was with Itachi…”
“Why didn’t you tell me? What if he tried something?”
“He didn’t ok!”
She turned away quickly.
“…”
“I just needed to talk with him…” She was crying.
Neji got out of bed and held Sakura close to him. “Neji there is still nothing on Sasuke or Orochimaru!”
“They’ll show up eventually.” He whispered.
“I know…”
“You should get some rest the Hokage has had you working like crazy.” He said pulling her to the bed.
She lay down. Neji pulled the blanket over her and crawled in on the other side.

“Good night Ai.”
Seiji walked to his room and fussed with the covers to get them just right. Then he put his head on the pillow and drifted in to a deep sleep.

Rei was sitting out in the court yard. Looking up at the moon she watched the sky.
“Rei…”
“Shikamaru…why are you here?”
“I couldn’t sleep… so I wanted… to come see you.”
“Come on then sit with me!” She spoke softly.
He sat next to her on a cool stone bench looking at the sky.
“It’s not your kind of night is it? There aren’t any clouds…”
“Yeah… there isn’t even one…man…what a drag…” He sighed.
She put her head on his shoulder and looked up.
“It will be all right Rei…so don’t worry.”
“I’m not worried about me…”
“I…know your not.”
Rei fell asleep on his shoulder. When he started to get tired he picked her up. *What a drag…why’d she have to fall asleep* He put her on the couch and locked the door as he left. Everyone had a rough night. Itachi watched the moon all night. But everyone else got some sleep.
*Alright I have to keep the promise I made with mom last night!* Is what Ai and Seiji’s first thought was.
