DarkFire Alchemist's log book.
This is the documents of my life. This is how I live, what I learn...and what I'll do to protect the ones I care for.
...log entry date :7:31:07 PART ONE
“*sigh* this is one helluva day.” I said, slouching on my couch flipping through the T.V. channels. There was nothing on. I don’t know where the Nagakuras were, but wherever they went, they took Roxas with them. So here I am, sitting on my couch, bored out of my mind.

I got tired of switching the channels, so with a flick of my right wrist, the remote flew through the air and landed in the chair. Suddenly, the Dark Demon Slayer flashed into my hand. I stood up and turned it, wondering why it appeared suddenly.

“What the Hell? Why is it doing-” Before I could get anything else out of my mouth, it began pulling me towards the door with quick jerks. Figuring it was more Heartless, I smashed through the door and began running to where it was pulling me.

After a few minutes of running through the underbrush and tree hopping, I was back in front of the Gate to Kingdom Hearts. The blade tugged at me, pulling me towards the gate, when it froze in the air. The edges of the blade glowed blue and shot a beam of light at the gate, making a keyhole, and creating the vortex again. This one was different, because it was red. I went to walk away, but the blade’s key chain wrapped around my arm and pulled me into the center, where I fell unconscious.

When I started to regain consciousness, I noticed a rancid smell. I began to come to, and when I opened my eyes, I saw a wooden club coming down at my head. I rolled to my back and rose my right arm up. A normal automail arm would have been shattered on contact with such strength, but mine was made of light weight, synthesized metals. I noticed the creature had horns, a mane, and a long snout, filled with dagger like teeth. I saw there were several others, so I rolled, barely dodging more strikes from their clubs.

I still had the keyblade, so I swung it. Just before contact, the silvery edges turned blood red as a black aura surrounded it. Before I knew it, I had sliced the creature in half. Then I realized, the blade was the Dark Demon Slayer, so these must be demons, thus the new power. I jumped back, spinning the blade in my hand, then motioned them to come and fight.

One ran up to me with it’s club raised. I punished it by having it’s arm plummet to the ground when it swung, as I took it off with a quick snap of my wrist, then did the same to it’s head. I jumped into the center of the fray, slashing and dashing like mad. I jumped off of one’s chest and went high into the air. I clapped my hands together and turned my right arm into a blade. I noticed it took slightly more energy then usual. Then again, I had so much alchemic power, I could do this at least 50 times before getting slightly tired.

I switched the blade to my left hand, and began slashing with both hands, drawing so much blood that if I stepped in it, it would splash everywhere. Then I noticed something, the blood pools kept disappearing, yet the ground was still dry. And another thing, how come there’s still as many demons as when I first started killing them. Unless they were…I turned around to the one I had just cut down, and saw it reforming.

I stood there, surrounded for a moment, when I saw a flash of red and white come out of the bushes. Some kid, who didn’t look much older then me, was standing with me back to back. He had long white hair, big, bushy pants, and a oriental looking fashion style. On his side was an old looking sword, a katana shaped one. I wondered how he could fight with that. Everyone stood still for a moment, the breeze flowing past us. It was at this time I noticed I wasn’t in Gaia anymore. There was a crack, and we dashed off, slicing the demons into shards.

When I turned around the boy was just using his hands. And that’s when I noticed he had ears sticking out of the top of his head. His hands had claws that were razor sharp. One of the demons came up behind him. That’s when he grabbed his sword, and in a flash, the demon was cut in half. The sword, which should have been an ordinary katana, was now a huge blade. In a few moments, the rest of the demons were hacked down to nothing. We walked towards each other, still on our guards, since we didn’t know who was good or evil. Then I noticed his shadow start to move.

I lifted my right hand, the Fire Materia making my wrist glow slightly, and shot a ball of flames out at his shadow. It took the shape of a Heartless, and spun quickly, extinguishing the flames. Suddenly, Heartless jumped out of some nearby bushes. I dismissed one with a quick swing of my blade. The boy swung his blade at one, causing it to flatten, but it stood back up. The Heartless reared up to attack when I jumped in front of the boy and sliced it in half.

“Hey,” he said, “you with the freaky ears.”

“You’re one to talk about ears.” I said to his remark.

He just shrugged it off. “How are you killing those things when I can’t?”

“Dunno,” I said, killing two more Heartless with a spin attack, “it’s because I have a magical blade.”

I noticed some of the Heartless collecting around something, but I’d get rid of them when I got to them. The boy stood behind me, giving me cover from any Heartless that jumped at me while I hacked through them. I looked back to see a Neo Heartless holding up a shard of glass. It was a jewel shard. The boy saw this too, and lunged at it, trying to grab the jewel, but the Heartless held it above it’s head, and dropped it into his mouth.

The Heartless shook a bit, like it was having a seizure, when it’s mouth opened again. A long, black tongue swayed out, and the Heartless puffed up like a balloon. It deflated, and became a gigantic, beefed up Neo Heartless.

The boy threw his blade at it, the blade spinning like a saw blade. It hit it’s leg, and sent dark matter flying into the air before it dissipated. Two Heartless came up to it’s feet, and it’s tongue swooped down and licked them up, the hurt leg healing. The boy jumped next to me again. “You can do damage now,” I said to him, “you focus on him, I’ll keep the little guys away from him. “How can I trust you?” He said, acting extremely cocky. I stuck my left hand out at him. “Name’s Mike, you either believe me, or you can see what that thing looks like from the inside.” He shook my hand and we dashed off at the giant Heartless.

His blade was fast, but mine was faster. I had hacked down a dozen Heartless while he diced the giant one. I noticed it’s mouth start foaming a black fog. It reared back, and began to shake. “Look out!” I shouted, knocking the boy away. It leaned forward and shot a toxic, black sludge at me. I clapped my hands quickly and slammed them to the ground. A rock wall came up, and the sludge fell to the ground, eating away at it. I jumped next to the boy, and felt the same sensation when the Nagakuras and I took on the Heartless that was coming out of the gate. He must have felt it too, because we held our swords forward, then dashed at the Heartless. We slashed through it, all over it, jumping off of anything we could to climb higher. We landed on the ground in front of it, at the same time, the slash wounds appeared, and the dark matter dispersed again. The boy held his sword forward. I ran at him, stepped on his sword, and jumped off at the same time he swung it, sending me straight up at the Heartless. I flew just past it’s head and landed on it, then jumped backwards, even higher into the air. I threw my sword up, and snapped my hands at it, the alchemic fire doing high damage to it. I caught my blade’s key chain, spun super fast, and whipped the blade at it, the blade went straight through the center of it, and the Heartless swung it’s head up screeching. It stopped, and a small heart flew out of it’s mouth and disappeared.

It’s body shattered and I walked over to the jewel and picked it up. I took my left glove off to see how it felt, when it melted into my skin. I was alarmed by this, when the boy ran up to me, looking very angry, and said “The jewel shard…it’s inside you…isn’t it.”

“I…I guess so-” I managed to say, before he took his huge sword and smashed the flat end into the back of my head. I went out like a light.

I was starting to awaken. There were voices, one of them was that boy’s, and another was a young girl.

“How did I know he wasn’t a demon. He absorbed the jewel shard, has fangs, and look at his ears!”

There was a slap sound. “You’re so reckless Inuyasha. He’s just a kid, and you have to knock him out cold!”

“What about his right arm?” Another boy’s voice said.

Inuyasha spoke, “Yeah, that symbol probably binds an evil spirit to his body.” I felt my right arm lift. “I’ll scratch it off.”

With that my eyes flashed open and I backflipped out from under some sheets. Which a clap of my hands my arm became a spike. “You do NOT want to scratch that seal off, otherwise, we’re all in deep trouble. There were two girls, Inuyasha and some other man, and a kid that looked like a fox. There was also a small tiger there. I looked at it, thinking it was cute, when it was engulfed in flames and be came a giant two tailed tiger.

“I told you he wasn’t safe.” Inuyasha said as his sword came out.

“Sit!” she said. In a flash, Inuyasha was face first to the ground. I held back a laugh…barely.

“Sorry about him, he’s been a little edgy.” the girl said. She looked like she was in school, as she had a school uniform on. She stuck her hand out. “I’m Kagome, and you are?”

I shook her hand with my automail hand, “Mike, nice to meet you.” I noticed I wasn’t on Gaia. Now that I think about it, the landscape where the Heartless attacked weren’t like anywhere in Gaia. “Um…quick question: where am I?”

“We’re in Japan during the Feudal Era.” Kagome said. “Did you come in the Bone Eater’s well too?”

HUH!? “Ja…pan?” I said, confused. Then I remembered Dad’s notebook. It told of different lands and places. One of them was Earth, with continents on it. One of those was Japan. I remembered everything about that place.

“Oh…ok.” I said, trying to make it seem like I was from there.

“Where are you from?” She asked.

I decided to just tell them. “I’m not from this world…or yours. I’m from a place called Gaia.”

“How’d you get here?” She asked, surprised by my answer.

“I’m not sure…I’m not even sure how I’ll get back.” Then I realized, how will I get back. The keyblade appeared in my hand. “I got here through a gate when I got this blade.”

The man in the back walked forward. He was wearing a long purple drab over him, and had a staff. “I’m Miroku.” he said. “It is possible that this world is connected to yours somehow. After all, Kagome isn’t from this place either.”

“Hmm.” That would explain why she’s dressed like that.

For a while we sat and talked. Turned out Inuyasha was a half dog demon. The other girl was Sango and the fox kid was Shippo. The little cat-thing was Kirara. Miroku and Sango were demon slayers. While they were explaining that, Miroku grabbed Sango’s a**, and she punished him with her huge boomerang, smashing it down on his head.

We talked longer, talking about ourselves and I explained about Gaia, the Keyblade, and the Gate that brought me here. I also found out about that jewel shard, known as the Shikon Jewel, or the Jewel of Four Souls.

We traveled for three days, hunting both demons and the Heartless. It was actually quite fun, well, except for the fact That Inuyasha kept trying to outmatch me in sword play. He would jump forward and hack through a dozen enemies, and when he sheathed his sword, they would fall, cut in half. Me, being an aerialist fighter, would use an enemy as a springboard, and go soaring through the air, slashing as I flew. I was also quite good when it came to aerial enemies, because I would use alchemy to send me flying high, and hack them down as I jumped off of them. Inuyasha, of coarse, would do the same without alchemy.

I also found out that I had to get the jewel shard out of me in order to help them on their quest for the shards. The jewel shard had shattered long ago, and if one shard fell into the wrong hands, it could mean disaster. Inuyasha’s brother, Sesshomaru, is also after the jewel shards. He’s also after Inuyasha, because he wants the Tetsusaiga, Inuyasha’s sword. Of coarse, none of us were going to let him take it without a fight.

We were going to see someone called Lady Kaede. Apparently there were some bandits moving across the lands, and they were approaching the village she lives in. So of coarse, we were going to make sure if they stopped there, it would be their last stop.

We were walking for almost a day straight. It was around midnight when I started feeling partially tired.

“Inuyasha, how far away are we from town?” Kagome said, her tiredness showing through her voice.

“Only a few miles.” Inuyasha said, obviously not caring that she was tired. Kagome’s shoulders fell lower.

“Can we stop and rest?” she asked. Inuyasha just replied by shaking his head. I looked over at some trees and had an idea.

“Just a second guys.” I said, running over to the trees. They watched me clap my hands together and place them on the tree. There was a flash of light and the tree fell off of a clean cut stump. I knocked down a few more then walked up to them and used the wood and a nearby rock as material and made a large wagon with a bar that came out of it to pull it. They stared at it, amazed by my power. “Hop in.”

They all climbed in, except for Inuyasha who went to pull it. “You think you can pull them?” I said laughing.

“Better than you could.” He remarked back.

“Really…”

“Why don’t you both pull it?” Miroku said. Kagome was already asleep. We looked at him, then at each other, and began to pull the wagon. The night went on, and as daybreak broke out and we got closer, I noticed that the ground sloped downward. The wagon began to speed up. At the same time both Inuyasha and I stopped our feet to stop the wagon, but we just slid across the ground.

“Crap!” I said, jumping over the bar to push the cart, “If we don’t stop this we’re all going off the cliff.”

“You didn’t have to tell me that!” Inuyasha remarked. I clapped my hands and turn my arm into a spike and drove it into the ground. All that did was leave a long slash mark in the ground. “Damnit.”

“Anymore bright ideas?” Inuyasha said, jumping over the bar and pushing like I was.

“Just one.” I said, clapping my hands together and placing them on the cart. The wheels disappeared and turned into part of the cart, which meant the bottom of the cart was touching the ground, slowing it down. “Now push!” I yelled to Inuyasha. While we were pushing, everyone in the cart had woken up and were cheering us on to stop the cart. As the edge of the cliff approached, I dug my spike back into the ground, and Inuyasha pulled out his Tetsusaiga and dug it into the earth We slowed down faster, and my feet were just barely over the cliff when we stopped. Inuyasha hopped behind the cart and began to pull it back away from the cliff, but when he did that I was trying to get away from the cliff, and the bar of the cart broke, and I fell over the edge.

I heard Sango shout my name as I fell, and I had just managed to grab onto a loose piece of tree root from the cliff and hung onto it. I looked down and saw that it was a long drop. I looked up and saw everyone leaving over the edge to see if I was ok. Some of the cliffside crumbled off. “Stay back,” I shouted, “if any of you fall you’re gonners!” I looked around then realized what I had to do. “Check this out!” I let go of the root and began to fall. Kagome clamped her hands over her mouth and Inuyasha was ready to jump down after me. I clapped my hands and placed them on the wall of the cliff. The cliffside ripped open, as I had stopped at the breakdown part of the transmutation, performing a partial transmutation. I grabbed onto the wall and climbed up the cliff. When I got to the top I said “Come on, lets go.” We began walking, and Kagome hit me, saying I shouldn’t have worried her like that. Inuyasha and I laughed.

We got to the town an hour later to find that most of the building were partially destroyed. “We’re too late!?” Shippo said. I noticed a Heartless with a bandana around its head flying into a house. “This way!” I shouted as I ran off to the house.

When I burst through the door there was an old woman protecting a mother and her daughter. She had a large knife and was holding it with both hands. The Heartless dashed at her, but when it finally got to her, it dissipated, because I had dashed forward and slashed through it. I turned around and blocked her knife with my right arm. She stood there stunned. “Who are you?” she said, holding the knife to me again.

“I’m friends with them.” I said, pointing to the doorway where everyone walked in. Inuyasha didn’t look to be too thrilled to see Kaede again. I saw more Heartless outside. “We’ll do introduction later. Inuyasha!” We both nodded and jumped out of a broken window. As I hacked down Heartless, Inuyasha rescued people. I noticed a small black vortex in the distance, so I shot my keyblade towards it, and a light shot out and went through it, shattering a small black orb. The Heartless flashed for a moment, then went back to destroying the village. Inuyasha came out of a house as a Heartless lunged off the roof at him. He swung at it, and it dissipated like the ones I kill.

“How can I kill them now?” He said.

“I destroyed an orb a minute ago. It must have protected them from conventional weapons of this world.” I said as I hacked down another Heartless. We looked at each other for a moment, then smiled. I turn my right arm into a spike, and we went crazy. We destroyed every Heartless in a matter of moments. As we walked back to the house Kaede was in, Inuyasha stopped for a minute. I turned to see him sniffing the air.

“Inuyasha…what is it?” I said, gripping my blade.

He paused, then said “It’s him…Sesshomaru.”

“Where is he?”

“I…I can’t tell.”

We backed up till we were back to back. Nothing was going to get the jump on us. Just then a giant blue wave came out of a broken down house to my right. Inuyasha saw this and sung his blade, shouting out “Backlash Wave!” When he sung his sword, a cyclone that had a yellow color engulfed the wave, destroying it…and the house along with it. We stood still waiting for an attack, but nothing came.

“Where is he?” I asked in a panic.

“I still can’t tell.” Inuyasha said. We stood for a few moments before we heard a crack and turned to the left. There was a little guy there who looked like a toad. He had a staff and was spinning it in the air.

“It’s going to shoot out flames!” Inuyasha cried.

“I’m on it!” I clapped my hands and slammed them on the ground. Flames started coming out of the mouth of the staff when a huge wall of earth rose up and blocked the flames. I turned around to see a boy with bluish hair holding Inuyasha by his throat. The boy was obviously a demon, and from what I was told about Inuyasha’s brother, it was Sesshomaru. Everything was still for a few moment, when Sesshomaru drew his blade and had it to my throat before I could blink.

“He brought those here.” He said, “Those…black creatures.”

“So what if he did he’s been more help then you’ll ever be!” Inuyasha said, obviously angry. Sesshomaru lifted him up and threw him across the town easily with one hand, saying “Quiet half breed.” Now that his attention was turned, it was my turn to strike. I grabbed his blade in my right hand and pulled my self into the air, landing on the blade. I held my keyblade to his throat.

“Leave now, or be prepared to join your father.” I said. I knew that Sesshomaru and Inuyasha’s father was dead. He looked at me for a moment.

“…you’re as foolish as your friend.” he said. He rose his blade with me on it, and swung it out from under me and around to hit me in my side. Luckily for me he hit my automail. I grabbed his blade and pushed it away, while he just spun with the blade and took another swing at me. I blocked it with my blade, caught his sword in one of the notches of mine, and ripped my blade back, taking his along with it. Unfortunately, mine went too, because I didn’t have a strong enough grip with my right hand. We stood there for a moment, when he lifted his hand, his fingers twitching, then flaring out. He lunged at me as I lunged backwards, his hand out by his side. My right hand pressed against the wall, and when he threw his arm forward, I pushed off the wall in the opposite direction, barely ducking under his hand. I turned back towards him to watch as his hand hit the wall, and melted right through it. I swung my left hand, my keyblade appearing in it, and charged at Sesshomaru. He turned around, to what I thought was too late to react, and when I swung my blade, I thought I had at least wounded him. When I looked up, he was nowhere near me. By this time, Inuyasha was back behind me, swinging at his brother with his Tessaiga. Sesshomaru was dodging the blades easily. That’s when I noticed the frog person was back with the staff. There were two head on it, and he was using the one that blew fire again.

“Well, since he likes fire so much.” I said, drawing my left hand up. The keyblade disappeared and I snapped my left hand, starting an alchemic reaction. The ground underneath the frog man exploded, sending him flying through the air. Sesshomaru jumped forward and caught him, landing and setting him down slightly roughly. The frog man held out the Tenseiga and said “Lord Sesshomaru, you dropped this!” Sesshomaru took it and said “Take the one with the metal arm Jaken.” So his name was Jaken. “Yes milord!” He said, waving his staff.

I got a bright idea. I jumped back surprised and shouted “DEMON!” pointing behind Jaken. “Huh?” Jaken said, turning around. When he turned back around, I slid into him, sending him high into the air. I grabbed his staff, swung it behind me, and shouted “Home run!” as I swung it, hitting him and sending him flying. I went to snap the staff, when something told me not to. I felt a strong force pulling me away, and I drove the staff into the ground. I realized now that I’m in a different world. I can’t change the future of this world that drastically. The staff must be needed later on. I turned around as Sesshomaru came right past me, grabbed the staff, and disappeared into the forest where Jaken flew. Inuyasha went to run after him, but I grabbed his robe, holding him back.

“What are you-”

“Leave him go,” I said calmly, “he’s got to be scared due to our power.” Inuyasha paused, then smiled. I had obviously boosted his ego.

For the next two days I repaired the buildings with alchemy while Kagome, Miroku, Sango, and Shippo helped the townsfolk. Inuyasha disappeared into his forest. I wondered what he was thinking about. Probably his brother.

One night everyone except for Inuyasha gathered in Lady Kaede’s house.

“Lady Kaede,” Kagome said, “how many pieces are left of the jewel?”

“Not many,” she said, “let me see the shards you have.”

Kagome handed her the shards. Kaede inspected all of them, then began to put them all together. In a matter of minutes, there was a cracked jewel in front of us.

“As far as I can tell, there is but a single shard left.” Kaede said. Wait, didn’t I absorb one of those shards? Then that means the last one is…oh no. I have the last shard inside of me. I sat there quietly for the rest of the night, except for the slight laugh when Sango bashed Miroku on the head with her boomerang for grabbing her a** again. Kagome and I left the hut while Miroku, Sango, and Shippo went to sleep. I was going to sleep in the trees. After all, sleeping outside in a tree is cool. As we walked, Kagome and I talked.

“Say…about that last shard.” I said quietly.

“It’s inside of you.”

I stopped walking, surprised by her answer. “How’d…how’d you know?”

“I can sense the jewel fragments. And I can see it inside of you.” She pointed to the left side of my torso, “Right there.”

“How do we get it out?” I asked, scared of her answer.

“Don’t worry, we’ll find a way without hurting you.” She said giving me a reassuring smile. I slowly smiled, accepting what she said. It didn’t sound like a guess, more like a promise. While we walked we talked about her home in the future Japan. Apparently only some people can go through it, like Inuyasha and Kagome. But for some reason, no one else can. I wondered if the same was true about the gate, if my friends would find me and try to save me. Wait, I don’t need saving, I’m the famous DarkFire alchemist…least…I will be famous soon.

Suddenly Inuyasha landed in front of us. “You going home Kagome?” he asked, sounding slightly depressed.

“Just for a few days,” she grabbed my sleeve, “I’m going to show Mike around Japan.”

Inuyasha didn’t seem to like the idea of me hanging around with Kagome. “In that case I’m going too!” he said, stomping one foot down on the ground.

“No Inuyasha, you’re staying here to make sure the Heartless don’t destroy the village.” Kagome said, putting her hands on her waist. She seemed quite peeved.

“I can’t defeat the Heartless, Mike’s the only one with that magical blade!”

“Uh, Inuyasha,” I said, scratching the back of my head, “I broke their barrier that kept them protected from your weapons.”

“You probably can’t go through the barrier!”

Kagome ran towards the well and jumped on the side, still dragging me along with. “We’ll see about that.” she said, then jumped into the well. I went along too and watched Inuyasha disappear from my sight. Soon I was lying on the ground. I stood up and jumped out of the well, and realized I was indoors. Kagome was standing by the door and motioned for me to follow. I followed her and when I walked outside, I saw building, huge building and shrines everywhere. I turned to Kagome and she smiled, saying “Welcome to Japan.”
