DarkFire Alchemist's log book.
This is the documents of my life. This is how I live, what I learn...and what I'll do to protect the ones I care for.
...log entry date :7:31:07 PART TWO
I walked with her through the shrine and into her house. The doors were made of paper and wood, and slid back and forth to open or close. Upon entering, my eyes wandered back and forth.

“Kagome…I’ve never seen a house this cool.” When I looked in front of me there was a wrinkled face less than an inch away. “WAAAAH!!” I shouted loudly, jumping backwards a few feet. It was an old man, and he scared the hell outta me.

He put his finger to my face, almost touching my nose. “Is this another one of those miscreants from the other side!?” he shouted towards me.

“Who you calling a miscreant, old man!” I said, poking his forehead which made him rock back and forth.

“You have insulted my family, and now you shall pay!” he shouted as he put his hand up his sleeve and pulled out a piece of paper. He threw it at me and it stuck to my forehead. “Ha ha, now he is frozen in time forever!” he said with a laugh. “Grandpa…” Kagome said quietly, “why do you do this to my friends…”

At this time, the DarkFire alchemy started causing a black aura around my right hand as I let out a low growl of anger. I slowly removed the talisman, and held it in front of him with two fingers. I slid my fingers across each other quickly, and in an instant, the talisman had incinerated due to the spark I made with my ignition gloves. This was the start of a looooong night.

At dinner, we ate out of round bowls, much like the oriental restaurants in Gaia, and ate with sticks. The food was delicious, none of that crap the Federation produces in Gaia. “What is this stuff?!” I barely managed to say with my mouth full. “They’re called instant noodles,” Kagome said, “you like them?” I couldn’t answer, because I keep eating. I might have been eating a little too fast, because I started to choke when the grandfather said “miscreant”.

For a little while I played videogames with her brother, Sota…and I kinda made her cat mad so it scratched me. When she went to get me a band-aid, she said I was just like Inuyasha.

I walked through the shrine, exploring everything I could, looking at all of Japan. This must have been what my father liked in his old diary. I jumped up on the roof and sat there, watching the stars move across the sky as time ticked on by. I heard a window open below me. “Hey, Mike, you out there?” It was Kagome. I flipped across the roof and hung from the side with my right hand.

“You rang?” I said, hanging like a monkey. Kagome laughed.

“Come on in, I want you’re help with something.”

“Oh ok.” I started swinging to get momentum, the threw myself forward through the window. On her desk there was a few books, some papers, and the Shikon jewel shards scattered about. “So what do you need?”

“I need your help to put the shard back together.” she said. I picked up a piece and tried to push them together. They didn’t fit, so I dropped the one and went to pick up another. The one I dropped touch one on the table, and they glowed for a moment before sealing together.

“Whoa…did I just do that?” I said, looking stunned. Kagome ran over and we got to work. About an hour later, we only had three pieces fused together.

“Ugh, this is gonna take forever…” I said, slouching back in a chair. Then I had an idea. “Unless,” I said standing up, “stand back Kagome, this might be dangerous. She got up and moved back slowly, not knowing what I was going to do. I clapped my hands together and placed them on the desk, covering a few of the shards. There was a bright flash of electricity, then another flash of pink light, and the jewel was on the table before us.

“You did it!” she shouted, jumping up and hugging me.

“Heh heh, good thing I was here then.” I looked at the jewel, and saw there was a small sliver missing. “But it’s not complete…there’s still one piece missing…and I know where it is.”

“Don’t worry, we’ll get it out, I told you that.” Kagome said, reassuring me with another smile. I walked back towards the window and saw two yellow dots moving quickly across the ground.

“Kagome…I think we have to go back to Feudal Japan.”

“What? Why?!”

“Heartless are coming to this world though the well, which means on the other well…they’re taking over.”

In a flash she was ready to go. “Take the jewel too,” I said, “if they try to come in here and get it, we’re all in big trouble.” She nodded and snatched it up. I jumped out the window and clapped my hands. When I hit the ground, I smashed my hands on the ground and made a huge wall of earth around the shrine. I turned to Kagome and said “Jump, I’ll catch you.” She jumped out of the window and I jumped up. I caught her and landed, making sure she didn’t get hurt. After all, that was quite a jump out of a window that high.

We started our run to the well when Heartless came from everywhere. I slashed them down and kept on running. That’s when disaster struck. Kagome had just gotten inside the shrine the well was in, when Heartless began pouring out from every Shadow. There were hundreds coming out of the tree in a matter of seconds.

“Kagome, go now!” I shouted, hacking down more Heartless.

“What about you?”

“I’ll be fine!” I blocked a Neo Shadow’s claw attack and punished it by slicing it’s arms off, dispersing it. “Go see what’s happening on the other side. If something bad is happening, come back immediately and tell me!”

She stood there, watching me as I hacked down any Heartless that got close to me, then nodded and jumped down the well. I closed the doors and fused them shut with alchemy, so if I fell, they’d be safe. Then again, what were the chances of me falling to some mindless shadows. I looked around and estimated their numbers…and the chances rose when I estimated over a thousand.

“Alright then, let’s even the odds.” I said to myself, clapping my hands together. I turn my right arm into a blade and held my keyblade in my left hand. I looked at my enemies. There were Shadows, Neo Shadows, and Samurai Heartless. I should have figured the Samurai, after all, this is Japan. One of the Heartless’s stepped on a branch, and as the crack rang out, I dashed forward, slicing them down.

When I slowed down, I stopped and spun around, only to see that I was now surrounded. The Neo shadows near the inner of the circle around me started to spin to slice me down, while the Samurai lifted their blades to swing at me. I clapped my hands and placed them on the ground. There was a flash of alchemy, and huge spikes of earth rose up around me, banishing the Heartless. Well, some of them.

When the spikes went back down, the Heartless tried to close in around me. I transmuted my arm back to normal and made my sword disappear. I lifted both of my hands, and snapped all around me, making huge explosions, sending all the Heartless around me flying. For a moment, I felt slightly drained. I guess using alchemy like that takes a lot of energy. I transmuted my arm again and ran off, using my fighting skills and my blade arm to get rid of the Heartless. One of the Samurai swung it’s sword at me, and I caught it in my right hand, rip it out of it’s hands, then swung it down at it, making it disperse too. I went to kill another Heartless with the sword when it dispersed as well. This gave the Heartless and opening, and it jumped at me, giving me a head butt to the chest. I rolled back along the ground and slid to a stop, smacking my forehead for being so stupid.

I lunged forward again and hacked away. A Neo Shadow took a swipe at me, and I barely dodged it. It’s head was right in front of mine, and I thought for a moment “Wait, I’m a vampire…” With a quick smile, I chomped down on it’s neck, and it reared back and dispersed. I took my left thumb and wiped it under my nose, something an old friend used to do. Now I had another weapon that worked.

I turned to see a Samurai Heartless sheath it’s sword and take a stance. I felt the sensation I had felt before, but it was slightly different. I summoned my sword and held it to my side backwards in my hand. I saw a flash of green, and then time stopped. All that was moving was me and the one Heartless. We stood perfectly still. I realized it was a quick draw. I saw it’s hand flinch, and I dash forward and dispersed it. Time started again, and I hacked down more Heartless.

“Come on Kagome, hurry up.” I thought to myself. I got hit in the back by a Neo Shadow, rammed by a Shadow, and caught the hilt of a Samurai’s blade to the chest. I fell to the ground near the well, my right hand on my knee, panting and sweating like Hell. “This is it…” I said quietly, “I hope Calista will forgive me…and the Nagakuras…when I don’t…come back…” A Samurai lifted it’s blade, then was slashed in half. I looked up to see Inuyasha flexing his claws.

“Heh, tired already.” He laughed out.

“Yeah, took you long enough,” I said standing up, “I was about to wonder if Kagome’s grandfather’s talismans work better than your legs.”

“Heh, he use one on you?”

“Yeah, I incinerated it right in front of him.” We laughed. “How’s the other side of the well?”

“Not good,” Inuyasha replied, “some bear demon named Riyoko was absorbed by some of the Heartless. He’s grown huge and it’s attacking all over the place.”

“Well why didn’t you say so!” I said. I grabbed him by his collar and dragged him into the well shrine. “Come on, let’s go!” I shouted, jumping down the well.

When I jumped out of the well, it was still night, but the moon was black. You could see it as clear as you could if it was white, but it was black. I heard the crack of Inuyasha’s knuckles.

“Damnit…it wasn’t this bad when I came to get you.” he said, a slight growl in his voice.

“Let’s go.” I said, then we started running down the path out of his forest. When we got out, there was just a quiet empty village. Inuyasha started yelling for Kagome and the rest, while I snooped around for Heartless.

“I wonder where they could have-” I was interrupted by the ground shaking. “What the Hell was that!?”

“It’s Riyoko.” Inuyasha said. He pulled out his Tessaiga while I summoned my keyblade. The earth shook again, almost like footsteps getting closer and closer. There was another roar, so loud that my ears hurt slightly. Just then, I saw a huge black figure lumber out above the forest. It was taller than a lot of the buildings in Japan. It looked like a gigantic bear. It had two huge yellow eyes, and was smooth in some places, but had fur sticking out in other places. It looked like he was resisting the Heartless.

“Inuyasha!” I shouted to him, catching his attention, “There’s still a chance he’s alive in there. We can’t kill him!” The demon reared back on his hind legs and pointed it’s head in the air. Inuyasha tackled me and knocked us both away just in time, because when Riyoko threw his head down, dark matter shot out of it’s mouth, turning the land black as night, petrifying everything the matter touched.

“Thanks.” I said standing up, “I guess I owe you on-urk!” I didn’t get to finish what I was saying, because before I knew it I was lifted into the air by a clawed hand. It wasn’t Inuyasha, he was to far away. I managed to look down to see that it was Sesshomaru.

“You brought these things here, and now he’s taken over one of the most powerful demons around.” He lowered me down, closer to the ground. “Now go clean up your mess!” He threw me at Riyoko. As I was flying I leveled myself in the air and was going straight for his head. He turned and noticed me. He opened his mouth, and I leaned back and snapped my fingers, creating an explosion in his mouth. He snapped his mouth shut and shook his head slightly. I landed on his nose, and swung my blade down. It hit him, and made a small spark as it deflected off. He swung his head and roared, sending me flying back towards Inuyasha and Sesshomaru.

“We can’t damage him.” I said as I slid across the ground, “We have to use more powerful attacks.”

“I’ll have to do this then,” Sesshomaru said drawing the Tenseiga, “can’t let two half breeds do a demon’s job.”

“WHAT WAS THAT!?” Inuyasha and I shouted at the same time. As Sesshomaru jumped at Riyoko, so did we, although I had to use some trees for leverage to jump that high. We landed on his back, Inuyasha ready to strike down Sesshomaru for what he had said. The shadow part on Riyoko’s back rose up and created Neo Shadows. For some reason they had red eyes. We started striking them down, but they kept melting down and popping up somewhere else. After a few moments I noticed one had yellow eyes. I jumped at it and struck it down. Riyoko roared and collapsed to the ground. Some of the shadows rose up and formed a black transparent ball, Inside was a purplish glowing crystal.

“That’s it, that’s what’s binding the Heartless to him!” I shouted. I swung at the orb but was deflected off of it.

“Heh, let me show you how it’s done,” Inuyasha said, raising his sword. “Backlash Wave!” He swung his sword, and it was almost like a tornado shot out of it. It hid the ball and wore some of it away, but missed the crystal, as it moved to the center of the attack, dodging it.

“Fool.” Sesshomaru said, swinging his sword. A blue colored arrow shot out and pierced through the ball, but was engulfed by the dark matter around it, canceling out the attack.

I swung my blade over my head and aimed it at the crystal. A blue beam of light shot out, but couldn’t break the outer shell. Just then the ball shot back into Riyoko’s body, and he seemed to come alive again. The Heartless came back up, this time though they were Samurai, and there were a lot more of them. Their swords were black, except for one that had a gray sword. I went to slay it but my side got struck by one of the other Samurai’s blades, cutting open my left side. I hit the ground, somersaulted, and lunged forward and struck down the Samurai with the gray sword. Again, they all disappeared and the ball with the crystal came back up.

“We have to attack at once,” I said holding my left side, “if we don’t, we won’t hit the crystal.”

Inuyasha looked over at his brother, and they exchanged glares for a moment.

“Come on, now!” I shouted, standing up and swinging my blade.

“Backlash Wave!”

“Dragon Strike!”

When their attacks were about to fly out, a term came to mind, I shot my sword forward and shouted “BANISHING LIGHT!” at the top of my lungs, the blade turn white, and shot a white and blue beam forward. It was caught in Sesshomaru’s Dragon Strike, which was inside the Backlash Wave. The Backlash Wave got rid of the matter around the crystal, the Dragon Strike took care of the matter in front of the crystal, and my beam shot straight through and shattered it. Riyoko’s body began to turn red as he began to revert to his normal form. Inuyasha and Sesshomaru jumped off, but the dark matter wrapped around my leg. I tried to get it off, but was sucked inside.

I opened my eyes and was in a black world, my keyblade floating in front of me. It started to glow. I placed my hand on the hilt and grabbed it tightly, as shocks shot up my arm and spread through out my body. The blade glowed brightly, and took a new shape. It looked like Inuyasha’s Tessaiga, but had no power to it. I then felt something in my stomach, and the jewel shard came out. I grabbed it, and then kind of fell out of the world.

I woke up to everyone standing around me. There was a rag on my head. I took it off and sat up.

“Are you ok Mike?” Miroku asked.

“You gave us quite a scare back there.” Kagome added.

“Yeah…sorry bout that…” I opened my left hand and the jewel shard was in it. “Kagome, where’s the jewel!”

“Oh, um,” she handed me the jewel, “here.”

I noticed the knick in it where the shard was supposed to go. When I placed the shard in it, the jewel shined brightly, then a flash of light went over it, as it was completed. Everyone was stunned.

Then, the keyblade came into my hand, a key chain with nothing on it swayed back and forth. The jewel flashed, as did the key chain, and there was a Shikon Jewel on the end of the key chain, as there was also one on my lap. We talked for an hour about what happened and why was my blade like Inuyasha’s. Then we tried to decide what to do with the Shikon Jewel.

“Here,” I tossed the jewel up and Inuyasha caught it, “I think our little boy’s grown enough to keep this out of the wrong hands.

“Little boy!? I’m stronger than you’ll ever be!” Inuyasha shouted.

“Yeah right! Sesshomaru’s also going to marry a normal human!”

As we had our little arguing match, everyone laughed.

“Oh yeah well-” Inuyasha stopped as the jewel floated into the air. The keyblade turned back to it’s original form and glowed like the jewel. There was a flash, and I was in another world. I felt the essence of the keyblade flow through me. I swung it and aimed the tip at the Jewel. A beam of light shot out and hit it, and created a keyhole. Something flew out of it, something red and kind of large. I jumped up and caught it, and it was clothes like Inuyasha. They flashed in my hands and turned into red orbs of light, then flew into me. They keyhole was in front of me, and it turned into a reflective surface. I saw myself, then the relfection flashed, and I looked almost like Inuyasha. I still had my automail arm and brown hair, but my hair was styled like Inuyasha’s, and I had his ears too. I also had his clothes on, minus the necklace. Another thing shot out near the Shikon Jewel. It was a necklace like Inuyasha’s. Somehow I felt as though it was like a calling to summon him. Almost like a charm. There was another flash, and I was at the Bone Eater’s well. There was a gate, much like the one in my world, but muuuuch more smaller. I looked at it, thinking about what just happened. Just then I heard everyone running towards me.

“Mike, what’s happening?” Kagome said.

“It’s time for me to go…back to my world.”

“Will you be coming back?” Shippo asked.

“Heh…you bet.” We said our goodbyes and I gave everyone a hug…cept Inuyasha, as we butted head again when Kagome kissed me on the cheek. Then I felt something heavy in my pocket. I reached in and pulled out a chain that had a small black orb hanging from it. Inside was black flames.

“What’s that?” Kagome asked.

“I think…it’s a summoning charm…” I replied. “I think that means you can call me back here at any time!” We all cheered. As I went to walk though the gate, they all said goodbye. I was partially through when I turned and said “Goodbye is for a long time. Let’s just call it…see ya later.” then walked through. I felt like I was flying, then saw my world. When I came out I landed on the ground, sliding a foot or two. I looked back at the gate and almost shed a tear. Then I remembered, I could go back whenever I wanted to. I started the long walk home. Halfway through No Man’s land, a Heartless Samurai came up. I summoned my keyblade, which turned into the Tessaiga. I felt a power over me, and threw the blade forward at the ground shouting out “Wind Scar!” When the blade hit the ground, I did Inuyasha’s Wind Scar attack. The Heartless was obliterated, and I looked at the blade. I guess it gave me the power that the wielder uses.

When I got home, I plopped down on the couch. I was bored, so I flipped through the channels again. Just then Roxas came home, clothing in bright colors again. His face gave the expression where you did not want to talk to him. When he came back in his original clothes, I asked him “So don’t you wanna know where I’ve been for the past few days?”

“Uh…you’ve been here, doing this for the past week…I’ve seen you here.” I looked at the clock, and checked the date. It was the same day as I left. I guess time doesn’t pass when you’re in another world. “Uh…forget I said anything.” I said, plopping down on the couch again. Roxas looked at me for a moment, then walked back outside.

“I gotta start hanging out with people less crazy.” he said. I laughed. I summoned the keyblade again, back in it’s original form. I wondered what adventure I’d go on next.
