The student ambassadors in my year had a meeting today straight after Registration. While they went off, I was still trapped in my form room, but in Graphics. Did some folderwork, but I didn't get as much done because Mr. GN was away and everyone else needed help... and the supply teachers were rather clueless, so I walked around from time to time, handing tips and helping out and whatnot. XD It's hard to concentrate while they flip through my Graphics folder anyway, so I didn't mind - and I was ahead of the rest of the class, so I might as well help out. (I might photograph the pages from my Graphics folder and put it up here, so keep your eyes open if you're interested).
Anyway, Graphics went fine except for a few little trivial problems here and there.. like the printers not working and me trying to send a few documents through to the Visitor's Rec. but it won't print anyway - thank heavens I got all mine done at home. Got everything I need printed out on Sunday - thanks to my dad who found just the right printer for me to buy, and at a very, very cheap price as well. Quality's awesome. But well!!
After Graphics and after break, we moved on to English and that was when I got the first news. A classmate of mine came into class and easily said that I was at the top of the school currently, and that just made me raise my eyebrows. He said that during the meeting, they saw a list with the name of all senior students along with their grades and estimated grades for the final exam - my name was at the top. At first, I thought it was because the names were sorted in alphabetical order according to the last names (mine starts with "A" wink but apparently not. It says there that the teachers estimated me with 96% chance of getting at least five A-Cs with my final exam - which is what colleges here are looking for once you finish secondary school. That made me blink - especially because I was at the top. Sure, I know I'm going to take the Higher tier for all my exams, but the thought of being THE top of the school.. that's scary. xD
Anyway, I was happy. Really happy. It was just the right news to take back home and break to my parents and when I did, needless to say, both of them were ecstatic. They're actually worried about me ever since I said that my history teacher lost all eight essays which I need to re-do. Actually, they're worried and angry - at him especially. Said they wanted to complain and such to the school and I told them that I'm fine either way and that if I want my grades, I'll have to do it - which I'm working on right now. XD But what really annoyed me was that when I asked my mom whether I could work or not, she refuses to let me go! Said that I should rest at weekends and whatnot.. like seriously?! I wanna work, for heavens sake, and my mom thinks that I'm a delicate little thing and that I shouldn't just yet... but well, I can't argue with her, so I'll just try and finish off the coursework as soon as possible with hope that I will be able to go back to work soon enough.
In any case, that's my entry for today. Tomorrow, there's another Malaysian gathering and I HOPE I'll get to see the undergrad students.. they're always a joy to talk to. Rino-chan.
