What is happening to the language now-a-days? Is it so hard to write a sentence with CORRECT spelled words, punctuation and capitalization? Is it so hard to use a minute more or so to write correctly? I would rather do that and try not to look like a retard.
A very large foe of the language is the so-called 1337/leet-languge. I mean, what is the point with it?. Too lazy to write proper sentences while you are playing Camper Strike? Boo hoo, then do not write retard. It almost hurts to see the language be abused in such a manner. Why do they do it? To stand out? To annoy? Because they are lazy? Because it is "cool"? Because they have a broken keyboard? No one apparently knows. I'm not even sure I want to know either. All I know, is that I do not want to look like a retard.
I always try to make my text look more presentable and correct as possible. Why not do it? It will make you look more "professional", sort of speaking. Like you really mean what you have to say. That you have thought through what you have written. You will also feel much better when you look at your well-written text. To know that you are not a retard.
In Danish, a lot of people make the mistake of using the English genitive. English: The man's hat. Danish(written in English, but with Danish genitive): The mans hat. Why do some many Danes make that stupid mistake? Are they so unaware of our grammar? I think it's preposterous. Also, I wonder where this has come from.
I hope you enjoyed today's entry
