I have for a long period had that opinion that the music in our society is suffering heavily. By that, I mean that music has reached a point where I would call it noise instead of music. Every idiot can make techno or any other kind of electronic "music". What's so great about "music" that only goes boom-boom-boom?! What happened to instruments? Is it too hard? Awww! Then just don't make "music". There's a reason why you probably shouldn't make music.
And what's with this rap and R & B anyway? It was okay in the beginning, but now it's taken over. Like everything we want to listen on TV and on the radio is this mindless and montonous R & B, hop hop and rap.
When people listen to such classics as Creedence Clearwater Revival, they do it mainly because it's nostalgic and if you get nostalgic you're cool. Why not listen to it because of its worth? I would listen to it even if it wasn't considered "notalgic".
I listen to everything I think can be called music, and not music that would make me "cool" or "dope". Oh God, I hate that word. It's like: "Hey, I listen to cool music. Therefore I'm cool". Guess what moron? YOU'RE NOT!! Music doesn't exist to make you "cool". It exist as a way to express your feelings, thoughts and so on.
I avoid all bad influences such as MTV or radio. Why? Because it is my belief that record producers intentionally try to make us like the music that's airing. They don't care about anything else than the profits. Music that can remixed is much better than music from the heart.
So, what kind of music DO I like? Well, everything that sound good for me. Even "weird" genres such as classical and J-pop/rock is something I listen to with pleasure. Maybe I don't understand Japanese, but I can still enjoy it. A lot of those who sing has a really nice voice, that pleases my senses.
When I listen to music which sets of different emotions and moods I automatically remember it well and can listen to it forever. Such things, such as dance music, isn't something I listen to after a while. It may sound good for a while, but after that they become, in my opinion, meaningless. I could write much, much more, but I choose not to and wait for another day to do so.
I hope you like today's entry
