Ok then, my first Rant is going to be about homosexuality because I have bored my friends to death on the subject, and so I need a new outlet whee
Right, so, I take ethics for A level, and we're currently learning about sexuality, more sepcifically Homosexuality. Now call me crazy but I dont think there's anything wrong with this - I'm bisexual myself - but tell me please someone, what exactly is the church's problem with us!?
I've been surfing the net trying to come up with points as to what the church believes and why, and really, some of these people deserve a good punch in the face! I mean the things they say are disgusting! What I want to know is what happened to all that "love thy neighbour" stuff they were preaching when I went to church school? For example, check this quote out:

The word "gay" means merry, exuberant, bright, lively. More recently it has been adopted by homosexuals. In its original use it did not have this double meaning. So, what do you think of that?
sexual perverts? what a load of bullshit!! (I do aplogise to those with sensitive ears, there will be plenty more cursing about these kinds of things) I mean really, there are plenty of sexual perverts outside of the gay community - and now don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that gay people can't be perverts - but seriously!
I mean some of their own church ministers have been caught out with this kind of thing! Ted someone-or-other, an evangelical minister was caught doing drugs and was involved in prostitution. Now how can these people talk about sexual perversion and its horrors when they themselves are playing a part in it?
I don't imagine for a moment that all christians are so averse to gays, but then I also found a letter from a christian girl who feels the need constantly to repent for being bisexual and is so disgusted with herself she has tried to comit suicide on numerous occasions! what kind of a church, that preaches love and redemption for all, can cause a girl to go to such extremes?
So, please, comment me on this because I really am quite desperate to know other peoples opinions and make absolutley sure that the whole world is NOT as narrow minded and hypocritical as these people.
