It was my first day at my new school in Japan. I was terrified, but who wouldn't be? I tried to hide my emotions by sitting frozen in my seat. Not a single move. I just sat there, looking out into the perfect sky, cloudless and blue. If only Sonora and Gein were here. They were my best friends in middle school, but I didn't know if they also went here. There were a lot of schools in Japan. "Man," I sighed as I silently took out a clean piece of notebook paper and a shiny mechanical pencil. I began to write some notes about the video that we were watching as I was interrupted by a loud announcement. It was the principle. "Hello students, this is just a reminder that today is a half-day, so school is out at 12:15. Thank you for your time." Hours felt like days as the time passed, and before I knew it, the school day was over. I stumbled to the parking lot to find my bike. "Another boring day," I thought as I got on my bike and rode off into the sunshine. I arrived at my house in no less than an hour. I slowly took out my spare key and unlocked the front door just to find my sister listening to her music out loud. " Can you please turn that down? I have to do my homework!" I yelled, but it was no use. She couldn't hear me with all the noise in the house, so I just marched up to my room.My homework was easier than I thought; I just had to write about what job I would consider when I get older and why. My cellphone then rang. I picked it up and saw that it was Gein. "Hello?" I said in a surprised voice."Hey Kashi, what's up? I was just wondering if you wanted to come to the park tonight to check out a weird place I just found. Oh, and Sonora is coming too!" "Okay, but what time?" I asked.
"Well, It has to be late because I don't want anyone else to find it. So... 10:00?"
"10:00!? My parents would kill me!" I exclaimed. "Well, then just sneak out. See you there!"He said then hung up. I closed my phone and put it back in my pocket. " Oh man, I am so grounded..." I thought as I looked at the time and continued on my homework.
