"This is seriously sick", I heard lu-lu cough.He was standing over me.Drew agreed with him.Mayleen patted my cheek."Are you awake yet, Snow?" she asked.I tried to open my mouth to answer her but pain shot through my stomach as Jeremiah poked something.Instead of answering Mayleen I screamed.Luke growled yanking him up off the floor."What did you do?" he demanded.As soon as i was able to stop screaming I grabbed his hand."No its fine, lu-lu", I gasped.I looked over and saw Nessalyn in the doorway with her brother Marcel."Hey Ness", I cracked a smile and winced at another stab of pain this time in my thigh."Those monsters",she stared at me gasping."To do this to one of there own",Marcel looked away.Lukes skin was turning a diffrent color.The color of his dragon skin.I squeezed his hand and saw that he flinched and his scales faded back.He couldnt let his dragon instincts take over his human self right now."I need a swim",Ness turned and ran out.Scales were forming on her legs, too.So she was losing herself to her other self too.She was probably swimming with her mermaid fin right now.I turned over and saw her brother follow her.I closed my eyes and fell back into the darkness, into the sleep.
I was back in the castle.God, Oh god.Back in my room.Mom was sitting in a green room.Plants surrounded her.She'd always had a green thumb.But she was crying her head in her hands.Then they came in.She looked up and screamed as they swept down on her.Blood, hers, was gone.Sucked dry.
