SOMEONE HELP! Have you seen this???
This is a screenshot from the film "The Golden Voyage of Sinbad". Sorry it's such a crummy picture, I couldn't find a better one, and sometimes even this one doesn't work. What I want to show you is the picture in the first row, second column. See the critter? The creature is a homunculus (sp?).Just in case the picture doesn't work, here's a link to a better picture (which still doesn't work all the time, you might have to just copy it to your browser): here's a pic that works most of the time. If the pictures still won't work or you're too lazy/don't trust the links, here's a textual description of the creature: The creatures look like little gargoyles. They are a purplish grey (I would call them grey, but at times they look purple O.o). They have batlike wings, lizard-like tails, and walk on two legs, a little hunched over. They're not very big...like maybe the size of medium-large parrot?? (funny though, I remember them being smaller....)
Now for the part I need help in... I remember seeing SOME part of SOME movie with a very similar (if not exactly the same) creature. In "The Golden Voyage of Sinbad", the evil wizard brings the homunculus to life via his blood; the creature already existed, he had simply kept it in a jar of fluid. What *I* remember is that the evil wizard guy created several from inanimate objects, and I distictly remember a handmirror being transformed into a homunculus, where the handle turned into the creatures body and the mirror part became its wings. I've watched several of these films, however, and I CANNOT find this scene ANYWHERE!!!! Did I just make it up somehow??? Did I possibly have some vivid dream about it that I inserted into the movie???? Is that possible??? But I remember it SO well!!! If ANYONE has some information pertaining to this, please, please, PLEASE tell me!!!!
Here's a picture I found of the soundtrack CD, it's the only working picture I could find. The homunculus is on the top of the text, standing near the statue head (sorry it's so small):
Here's a short youtube commercial for The Golden Voyage of Sinbad, the homunculus is pretty much the first thing you see: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=plMrGNoAKPg
