I was watching all of George Carlin's stand-up today and it made me laugh and feel sad at the same time. I laughed because he's funny as hell and is almost kind of like a hippie but I cried because he's dead. I found out today that his wife, Brenda, died before hime which is also very sad
"Don't you find it mildly ironic that people who don't like abortion are people you wouldn't want to ******** in the first place!?"
"On a quiet Thursday rush into a little shop and yell at the top of your lungs, 'Are you open on Sunday!?' and if they say yes say thank you and run out again"
"Does anyone in this republic even know what a snapper is!?"
Even if I quoted all his stand-up lines it wouldn't be enough because you have to watch it for yourself to truly find the humor in his comedy. But if you don't like vulgar words then don't try to watch is stanup because he was the first one to come up with the words you can never ever say on T.V! He's a comic hero and no one will ever be as good as him!
Oh George though you're not around you'll never be gone
So for the next few months I'm going to change my siggy to something George and Brenda related. I hate that life is taking away people we need like George! Anyway if you want to see who George Carlin is and how I feel about him just look at my siggy or look at the dozens of quotes from him ant the end of this journal entry. View User's Journal
