OK, now, today gets more interesting. My roommate (a.k.a my cousin) went up to one of the other rooms my cousins were staying in last night to hang out, while I stayed behind, bushed. I feel asleep, oh, at about 10:30ish, and apparently around 1am they came down and knocked on my door. They did not bring to my knowledge that they did not have a room key. oops. So those three ended up spending the night in the room they were heanging out it. So, that said, I was a little disoriented in the morning. I didn't mind though. In the morning, I got dressed, and, exited to get to the beach, went up and knocked on their door. BANG BANG BANG! I hear some grumbling from the other side and my 2nd cousin, Suzanna, opened the door. She let me in, and the other two, me_love_sushi and tatermuffin, were still asleep. Huh. I had the idea that they had slept long enough on my clock, so, I opened the cutains, and left them open, much to the complaints of tatermuffin. It was strangely satifysfing in a sense. When I am determined to want something, I get it...most of the time. So they were up, stumbling around to get ready. After that I shooed them down to the beach. We decided to rent boogie board today.
The waves weren't all that great, they were kind of low, but the big ones that did come were awesome! Those took us all the way to the shore where wet sand got all over us. But we just laughed and went back into the deeper water. Here's what sucked though, the NSUs. They were painful. NSUs are what we nicknamed the jellyfish, since they were so small that you can't see them, so you can't see what had stung you (NSU means no-see-ums). And they were EVERYWHERE! It got soo annoying to the point whee we decided to get out of the water and go eat. We returned the boards and went to the indoor resturant for a brunch-ish thing. It was a buffet as well. After that I went back to my room to relax, reading my book was my main priority at the time, and, guess what? I finished it! Whoopie!
Tonight we went to eat again at the Japanese place, and I had the same food I had before. Then was the Karioke night. That was fun. Apparently, not to my knowledge, my uncle had tried to become a professional singer but hadn't succeded. Boy was he amazing. Everyone loved him. I didn't sing of course. I admit I have an OK voice, but I hate singing in front of people. I tried to work up the courage too, so give me some credit. My cousins all sang, it was quite funny to watch. My dad was hilarious, singing the Love Shack with his sister. Shows what weirdoes we are...Me and sushi went to bed early, beat.
And that was it in essence, nothing all that exiting for that day. After this, the posts will get longer since I have more activities to talk about.
Oh, and, you know what really bugged me? (for all those bird-lovers out there) I DIDN'T KNOW A SNGLE BIRD SPECIES OUT THERE!!! It was sooo frusterating! I mean, I reconized the grackles, of course. And I saw an osprey, pretty cool. But the others, gaah! By the end of the week I knew them better and saw a Great Kiskadee, Black Bellied whitling duck (it was so cute), cormerants (I don't what type though, it was a more tropical species) and what I was pretty sure to be gannets. And, of course, pelicans.
Well now, THAT'S it I believe for that day, stay tuned for the next installment!
