I'm a quiet person and don't bother with many people so I write in my journal as a way to relax and let my mind roam.

Saint Elizabeth Hospital is the District’s public psychiatric facility. It was transferred by the federal government to the District in 1987 to become part of its public mental health system. The Hospital provides intensive, inpatient care for individuals with serious and persistent mental illness who need the security and structure to assist in their recovery. Saint Elizabeth Hospital is located east of the Anacostia River in Southeast Washington. Its beautiful grounds and historic buildings date back to 1855, and the National Trust for Historic Preservation in 1991 declared the site a National Historic Landmark. I read the web page over and over again but I couldn't understand...I didn't want to believe that Haruko was insane. "It takes time to get use to..." Kenji said. I looked over my shoulder and saw him standing over me reading. "He takes his medication and sleeps...he wakes up at about two in the morning and watches everyone sleep then he disappears until about three in the afternoon and then comes home and sleeps. He wakes up at five eats dinner and takes his medication again then comes here and then goes to sleep." Kenji said quietly. "How do you know that?" I asked. "I couldn't sleep for three nights when he came back..." Kenji said. I turned the computer off and stood in front of Kenji he looked down at me and hugged me. "Goodnight Kenji..." I said when he let go of me and went upstairs to my room.
I felt eyes on me...dark vivid pictures flashed in my mind, a body sprawled on the floor and blood splattered on the walls. I woke up trembling with tears in my eyes, my hands pressed to both sides of my face. "Aiko..? Are you alright?" Haruko said quietly. "Haruko! I-I'm ummmm...yeah I'm fine." I stuttered wiping my face and looking over at him. He was in black slacks and a white dress shirt and his feet were bare, his face was pale and his eyes empty his hair was pulled back into a ponytail and the scar on his cheek was exposed. "I'm sorry if I woke you...I just can't sleep. I'll be back later okay then we can talk." He said smiling faintly then proceeding down the hall and downstairs, I heard the door close and knew he had left the house. I couldn't get back to sleep, I was too afraid that I'd see those images again... I got out of bed and went to take a shower.
