As Jack wiped his tears I checked to see if the people in the town had noticed anything. I peered around the corner to see the villagers again. All of them were gone from the camp fire. The pieces of human they were eating were just left there. I signaled for the girls to come over and they scurried over as quick as possible. They began to panic, but i quickly quieted them down.

Suddenly we remembered something stupid we had done. "Our guns..." said Carlos."We left them in the boat" We looked around quietly. "If we get those we could take this town no prob" said Jack. I was the sneaky one out of the entire group so I thought to myself for a sec. "You guys hide out in this sshack and I'll run back and get the guns." I offered.

Everyone looked at me like I was crazy. "C'mon man Im sure that we could find some guns around here" said Jack. I shook my head. "Even if we did whose to say someone isn't guarding them or even worse using them." I answered.."It would be safer just to get our own guns. "Alright man just be quick the longer we stay the more dangerous it gets. I took off into the dark woods. I had remembered the way from the houses and used them as sort of a compass. As i walked through the woods I began to hear foot steps besides my own. I stopped for a moment and crouched low. A group of people were right next to our boat.

I picked up a rock and threw it into the distance. the whole group took off after the sound in a crazed run they all seemed to share. I ran up and snagged the guns in the confusion. I placed most on my shoulders and back but kept my shotgun in my hand. I hoped i would be quit enough so that I wouldn't need it but I didn't feel like dying to test that theory.

I could see the dim light of the camp fire and the small amount of smoke you could see against the night sky. I walked slowly through the woods only quickening my pace when I was positive it was clear. Suddenly I heard a demented scream from the village and through the woods I could see the torch of the group I saw before running towards the village. I darted as soon as they did towards the village. towards my friends.
