Last night my insomniac kicked in. Despite playing Ragnarok Online till 2am, I still didn't feel tired enough to sleep. I turned on the tv and saw an old favorite cartoon of mine, Ren and Stimpy.

Now, this isn't a very child-friendly cartoon at all and at the start of the show, they labeled it as "Adult Party Cartoon". Funny though, that when I was a kid, it was never labeled as such. But anyway, I watched the whole thing and I was laughing my heart out. It felt ironic to me... I knew that the whole show was disturbingly wrong -- everyone in the show were also serious -- and yet I was laughing.

The episode was about Ren who, at the start of the show, did something cruel and violent to stimpy (something that was never revealed even at the end of the show), which made stimpy cry his heart out. Now, this has got to be the gayest moment of this show. They looked like a troubled couple or something.

Anyway, ren goes to town to seek mental help and goes into Dr.Mr.Horse's office to talk about his troubles -- from his painful birth, to his life as a sadistic child torturing little bugs, and this one frog which he refused to kill after years of brutal abuse. In the end, he whispered into Dr.Mr.Horse's ear what he did to stimpy.

As his name suggests, Dr.Mr.Horse is, well, a horse. After the session, when Ren asked him just how sick does he think ren is, Dr.Mr.House goes berserk and tells ren that he should be locked up away from people. This is the part that made me laugh the most. He suddenly tells Ren, "what kind of b*****d would just walk up to a complete stranger and tells him all of his sick problems?!". Ren is confused and asked, "but, aren't you a psychiatrist?". Dr.Mr.Horse replied, "A psychiatrist?! Look at me! I'm a friggin' horse, you son of a b***h!"

LOL! To top it off, after Ren killed Dr.Mr.Horse by hitting him with the butt of a gun and being dragged away by dog catchers, his old frog comes on. He sees the gun, points it at his head, and pulls the trigger -- but the gun is a fake. It shoots out a small pole with a flag that says BANG! at the end of it. The frog didn't die, but now it had something new to inflict further pain.

But, really, this was just plain funny to me. Maybe it was the irony.
