was stunned Ultima was here, practically begging for me to end the war forever. I ran towards the tower dodging magics cast by various sources. I ran up the spiral stairs and emerged on the top of the tower only to see the true struggle. A Water Child, and a Fire Child were blasting magics at Ultima and before they made contact Ultima would negate them. The girl of fire screamed as she charged for an attack, a spiral of fire engulfed her and I noticed that the spiral was taking the shape of a dragon. “Fume Dragon.” She girl looked absolutely enraged and the dragon showed that same anger. The dragon circled the tower as the girl looked toward the water child and called to her. “Maia you have to do something attack her, heal us, don’t just stand there.” Maia looked straight at me with Alagos and Redd. “Rael is here and he brought the others.” She then cast a spell that shot freezing spires toward Ultima. The dark angel just laughed at their attempts to attack her. “Did you really think that you would be able to hurt me? I am more powerful than all of you” With that Ultima extinguished the dragon, melted the spires, and she threw all of us against the wall.
I got up and shot a Scathe spell right at her, making contact and she just flinched like it was a pinch. I was shocked no one was that powerful. The four Elemental children called the Fayth, Andalasia, Besullion, Oceana, and the fire Fayth, Incero. Ultima shrieked in delight as she conjured four swords and pierced the hearts of all four of the Fayth. Their dying cries drove me over the edge I panicked the Stars all shattered except for mine, I shot spell after spell at Ultima. She dodged them all.
“I knew you would not be strong enough to kill me, my war will continue until all the worlds fall to the darkness. I will consume all things good and eventually have the Kingdom.”
I didn’t know what else to do I created portals that swallowed my friends, new and old. I knew that they would be safe as I faded into the darkness. I just hoped for a place that had not been stricken by war and the darkness for me to get ready for another assault in the future. I felt myself sinking into the darkness praying for something, anything.
I woke up and I was laying in front of the man in the cloak I had seen several times before this. I lept to my feet angry, hurt, and feeling responsible for everything. “Who are you? What did you do? Why did you save me in Spira?” I was screaming at the top of my lungs at the man who put everything in motion. He said nothing back but chuckled ever so slightly. I recognized that chuckle, but that was impossible. The man pulled back his hood and I was looking at myself, but somehow different. He looked at me through eyes that were full of malice and hatred. “Did you really think you could kill Ultima with only three good spells? I’m you from the future my name is Arelx Darkdreamer I. I’m basically you, except without a heart. Oh and I can do ridiculously impossible things like look through the past and interfere if it needs to happen. I interfered because if I would not have saved you in Spira you would never have beaten Ultima.” I was extremely confused then I gave out a small yelp as I saw a dragon towering over Arelx of the future. The dragon had scales dark as the darkness itself. “Don’t fear her she will not hurt you.” I couldn’t find words. All I could get out was, “I still don’t understand.”
Arelx gave that laugh that really pissed off other people and now I knew how they felt. “You have a power that you do not even understand yet. But you are older than you think, your memory was disassembled before you were in Zanarkand. To put the pieces together you have to master your strength, and maybe you will destroy the true darkness that is manipulating Ultima and the other Zodiac, or maybe you will join that darkness and destroy everything. I cannot tell, that is for the heart of Rael to decide. Hopefully you realize that everyone that died did so that you can stop the darkness. You wished for a place without war and you got it, the eternal arcane. You also wished for answers and you are getting some and maybe a million more questions. All I can say is don’t lose hope in the true power within yourself. I give you this advice. Find the others of platinum hair and wage war against the darkness. But I am warning you, conquering the darkness comes at a great cost to everyone including yourself. Here take this.” The man reached out his hand and a card appeared and he threw it to me. I caught the card and turned it over in my hand and noticed that it had a picture of overgrowing thorns on it. I looked back up and Arelx and the dragon were both gone and I was falling, through the blue skies and crashed into a giant lake.
